Yo Poznan!
It’s been a minute. We were buried in prepping the Poznań Daily paper launch (dropping Feb 2026 📅 — STAY TUNED 👀). But now we’re back on the streets, tasting, slurping, chewing, and reporting the newest, dopest openings and hidden gems shaking up the city’s food scene over the last few months. Full reviews are coming soon in our Reviews section. Until then, here’s the low‑down.
MEDINA — Tunisian Soul Food in the Old Town
ul. Święty Marcin, Poznań
If your palate’s thirsty for something actual and different, Medina drops real North African energy right here in Poznań. Think crispy brik that shatters like good code on debug, shakshouka with spice swagger, earthy hummus and falafel that hit just right, and the Makloub pressed sandwich that hits like a spicy plot twist. Best roll here with crew — order the Tunisian Plate and let the merguez sausages steal your heart (and maybe your socks). Authentic? Check. Bold? Double check. Read our full review here.

POZNAJE — Stary Browar’s Craft Bakery Turned Kitchen
ul. Półwiejska 42, Stary Browar, Poznań
Here’s where bread culture gets bumped up to restaurant mode. Poznaje started as a craft bakery and is evolving into a full kitchen experience from team led by chef Jarek Kin (yeah, the 62 Restaurant guy — Michelin‑linked cred). Sourdough kings, buttery layers, elegant brunch — and the upstairs dining overlooks the Stary Browar atrium like a hidden chef’s lab.

AVE — Jeżyce’s Next‑Gen Breakfast + Lunch Joint
ul. Kraszewskiego 17, Poznań
Jeżyce’s getting that kind of all‑day eats spot. Ave flips eggs, schnitzels, and combos you didn’t know you needed into legit morning fuel and midday power‑ups. It’s familiar, but weirdly fresh — like your favourite comfort cheat coded with a new API. Schnitzels aren’t just schnitzels here — they’re AVE schnitzels. Worth a brunch pilgrimage.

House of Hot Pot & BBQ — Table‑Side Heat
ul. Piekary 22, Poznań
Hot pot heads and grill geeks alike — this spot is your playground. Pull up to a table where you’re the chef: pick a rich broth, sear that meat, dunk the greens, swing the sauces. You pay once and then it’s all you can geek out with — like unlimited data but tastier. Social dinner? Check. Interactive AF? Double check.

Masełko — Sweet, Buttery Haven
ul. Zwierzyniecka 41, Poznań
Cinnamon rolls, croissants, and pastries so buttery they should have their own zip code. Masełko is design vibes + buttery goodness wrapped into one. Think pastry that makes your brain go, “Wait — that’s insane.” Perfect with coffee, perfect without reason.

Schlebiać Jeżyce — Second Outpost, Same Cult Status
ul. Kraszewskiego 17/2, Poznań
The cult bakery that fans lined up for is now double‑dipping on Jeżyce. Fresh loaves, sweet bakes, and brunch slabs that smell like victory at sunrise. The interior flexes minimalist meets warm, and the toppings/drops on their breakfast boards feel delightfully nerdy in complexity.

SZKŁO — Natural Wine Bar With Gwarna Glow
ul. Gwarna 10, Poznań
Picture this: red‑lit window, chilled natural wine, and tiny plates that punch way above their size class. Born from the brains behind Prowiant/FineBite, Szkło gets that people want good wine + good vibes without bottled‑water energy. Does that steak come with chimichurri for under 40 zloty? Yes. Do we stan? Absolutely.

BENTO SHOP — Quick Bento Lunch Fuel
ul. Ratajczaka 17, Poznań
That lunch‑on‑the‑move life just got elevated. Bento boxes packed with rice or noodles + proteins + veggies + gyoza — and you can grab it takeaway or stay and vibe. It’s like the perfect lunchtime algorithm: efficient, tasty, and never laggy.

Kyoei Sanraku — Matcha Meets Minimal Japan
ul. Św. Marcin 41, Poznań
Sleek, minimalist, and serving matcha vibes harder than your morning latte ever could. Sanraku (by the crew from Madara Ramen) is that subtle Tokyo teleport — think matcha drinks, sweets, and savory drops all wrapped in oxygen‑clean design. Matcha nerds, unite.

Lê La Vietnam — Fresh Vietnamese Quick Eats
ul. Dąbrowskiego 39, Poznań
Jeżyce picks up a casual Vietnamese spot with goodies like tom kha, com tam and pho‑zen rice bowls. Light, flavorful, and efficient — perfect for lunch that doesn’t feel like lunch traffic. Trust us we have been there and its delicious. We have voted it the best Vietnames food in Poznan for 2026. A must try. See our full review here
