Yo Poznan!
Are you bored of the same cafés with the same croissants, the same playlists, and the same “plants in jars” aesthetic? You want different? How about snakes, tarantulas, and Latin American flavor explosions all in one place?

Welcome to Amazonia Green Café, Poznań’s wildest little secret — literally. We’re talking about a spot so unique that we’re kind of embarrassed we only just discovered it. It’s been around since August 2022 and somehow flew under our radar. Shame on us.

Coffee & Creatures
The name Amazonia Green Café kind of gives it away, right? But just in case you’re still in the dark — yes, it’s inspired by the Amazon rainforest. You know, the most biodiverse place on Earth, home to creatures that are either stunningly beautiful or will eat you in your sleep. Or both. Think: jaguars, pink dolphins, tree frogs… and way too many things with eight legs.

Thanks to the owner and his partner’s mutual love for nature and South American cuisine, they brought the Amazon to Poznań — minus the malaria. They have gone all in and even have scorpions and turtles at home. This is their version of cuddly. Respect.

Walk in and you’re immediately transported. Think lush greenery, more plants than your aunt’s kitchen, and oh yeah — live snakes, lizards, and tarantulas just hanging out while you sip your Colombian espresso. (Don’t worry, they’re caged. Mostly. We think.)
Food That Bites Back (In a Good Way)
And it’s not just the animals that are exotic — the menu slaps and rotates constantly. South America is the land where shrimp flirts with passion fruit, avocado high-fives mango, and pineapple throws chili into the ring like it’s nothing. And here? You get a taste of all that:
- Tostadas Caribeñas
- Provoleta con chimichurri (yes, that melted cheese fantasy)
- Costa Rican Black Soup – bold, black, and full of mystery
- Creole Plant – Cuban-style fried plantains with salsa criolla

Ever had a savory banana before? No? Time to level up.
The juices are also totally one-of-a-kind also— tropical, weird and fresh.

Where to Find the Jungle
You’ll find this tropical wonderland just off Św. Marcin, down a few mysterious steps at Kościuszki 72/5a. Look for the green vibes and maybe follow someone brave holding a latte near a snake tank.

And if you go, tell them Poznań Daily sent you. Maybe they’ll let you pet a lizard. (Just kidding — don’t touch anything unless you’re trained or slightly unhinged.)
We’ll be back soon to do a full review on our favorite dishes and brews — and maybe face our spider and lizard fears. But until then…

Final Word From the Jungle
You only live once. Might as well do it with a Costa Rican soup in one hand and a lizard giving you side-eye in the background. Go check out Amazonia Green Café and tell us what you thought — especially if you made eye contact with the tarantula.
