The Lowdown
Poznań Daily has been on a mission to find the most exciting, hands-on workshops in the city, and this time, we landed in Wilda—one of the most vibrant, artsy districts in town. If you’re looking to get your hands dirty (in the best way possible), let us introduce you to Nami Studio, a ceramic workshop spot that’s been turning up the heat for years. The name “Nami” means wave and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing here—rolling, shaping, and creating your own waves on a pottery wheel.

From Japan with Love
Before ceramic workshops became the hot thing, Nami Studio was already ahead of the game, shaping and spinning their way into Poznań’s creative scene. Their inspiration? The deep-rooted Japanese tradition of craftsmanship. Every single piece coming out of Nami is designed and handcrafted by the founders, Mateusz Pascal Łotocki and Elka Kosek—two artists who live and breathe this art form. Their specialties? Wheel-thrown ceramics and suminagashi graphics—both as hypnotic to watch as they are to create.

The Vibe
Nami Studio is all about slow, intentional crafting—from the feel of the clay in your hands to the fire that brings your pieces to life. Whether you’re rolling solo or pulling up with a friend, you’ll be stepping into a cozy, intimate space where creativity takes over.

And don’t worry if you’ve never touched a potter’s wheel before. The team at Nami Studio will guide you through the entire process—from prepping your clay to firing up your masterpiece in their electric kiln.
Wheel-Throwing Workshops
Ever wanted to throw clay like a pro? Now’s your chance. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to shape your own ceramic piece using the potter’s wheel. It’s a full experience, where you’ll go through:

✅ Glazing & firing – The final transformation

You’ll be working in a super chill, small-group setting (max 4 people), creating functional, food-safe ceramics that you can actually use and toss in the dishwasher.
