Nasi Campur: The best Indonesian cuisine you can find in Poznań!

If you’re looking for great Indonesian food then Nasi Campur in Jezyce on Kraszewskiego 24 street is a must-try. Umi Zaidah, the heart and soul behind “Nasi Campur,” culinary journey spans both Indonesian and international influences, bringing a wealth of experience to her kitchen. After several years in Ireland, Umi moved to Poland, her husband’s homeland, to embark on a new culinary adventure. With a renewed sense of inspiration, Umi envisioned creating a restaurant that would showcase the vibrant flavors of Indonesian cuisine and is quickly gaining recognition and admiration from both locals and foreigners alike.

Excited to explore the menu, we eagerly selected three distinct dishes to savor and share our experience with you.Our culinary journey began with the aromatic Laks Kampung soup, a tantalizing blend of flavors featuring shrimp paste, creamy coconut milk, delicate noodles, tender tofu, succulent prawns, and wholesome mung beans, all harmoniously combined to create a delightful symphony of taste. Priced at 37 PLN, this dish was excellent with its rich and comforting essence.

In addition to the soup, we couldn’t resist indulging in the Sate Ayam, succulent grilled chicken skewers served alongside a crisp side salad and a delectable peanut butter sauce. Drizzled with a uniquely Indonesian sweet soy sauce for an added kick, every bite was a symphony of contrasting textures and bold, savory-sweet flavors, making it an irresistible choice. Gado Gado as a starter was also chosen with steamed vegetables served with fried tempe & tofu and peanut sauce. Delicious choice if you’re a vegan!

Last but certainly not least, we savored the main course, Nasi Campur Bali. This generous dish featured tender shredded chicken, mixed with vegetables coated in fragrant coconut flakes, alongside perfectly fried noodles and a fluffy omelet. Each bite was a delightful fusion of flavors and textures, truly capturing the essence of Indonesian cuisine.

To complement our culinary adventure, we decided to indulge in the Jamu Jawa, a traditional Javanese elixir crafted from a blend of turmeric and tamarind. This refreshing beverage offered a harmonious balance of tangy and earthy notes, tantalizing the taste buds with its invigorating flavors and hint of spiciness. In conclusion, our experience was exceptional. The friendly staff contributed to the welcoming atmosphere, and the food exceeded our expectations, leaving us with no room for complaint. Undoubtedly, it’s the best Indonesian cuisine you can find in Poznań!
