Yo Poznan!
We linked up with Olivier, the guy who basically turned a 19th-century Prussian fort into a real-life Call of Duty map. Dude’s been running Laser Tag Poznań for over a decade, so of course, we had to sit down and get the inside scoop. Spoiler: bachelor parties, cheating scandals, and even the U.S. Army have all been part of the chaos.

This location is insane. How the hell did you score a 19th-century fort?
Connections, my friend. Connections. Let’s just say this place was begging for some laser battles.
For the uninitiated, what’s the goal of the game?
Simple: shoot more, get shot less. Team Deathmatch is the classic, but “Domination” – where you have to hold a control point while the other team storms it – gets wild.
Paintball vs Laser Tag. Why’s laser better?
Precision, baby. With laser, you can land a hit from up to 500 meters. Paintball? Around 70. Plus, no bruises, no ruined hoodies. Just pure headshot action.

Headshots only?
Yup. You wear a headband that vibrates when you’re hit. And yes, people scream the first time.
Respect. Where did this tech even come from?
It started with the U.S. military – a training system called MILES. Soldiers used infrared lasers and sensors to simulate combat. We just made it more fun… and added bachelor parties.
Speaking of – any fights ever break out?
[laughs] Bachelor parties are always interesting. Beer + egos + fake guns… you do the math.
Ever had military clients?
For sure. The Polish reserve army, the U.S. army, even police officers. Imagine shooting your local cop with a laser rifle. Feels good.
Girls into this too?
Oh yeah. Hen parties are surprisingly popular. Turns out bridesmaids love headshots.
How many guns did you start with? And now?
We started with 12. Now? Close to 100. We’re locked and loaded.

Minimum squad size?
A minimum of four people is best. Prices start around 40 PLN per person for a 30-min fight + 30-min training and stat breakdown at the end.
Oldest player you’ve had?
A 60-year-old woman. She came here for her birthday. Absolute legend.
Longest game possible?
About 1.5 hours, plus training and score reveal. By the end, you’re dripping like you ran a marathon.
What’s the biggest group you’ve hosted?
24 on 24. Absolute chaos, but so much fun.

Any dream upgrades you’d add to the battlefield?
Enemy drones. Imagine dodging headshots and drones chasing you. One day, maybe.
Do people ever cheat?
[laughs] All the time. They take the headband off and hide it in their pocket. But we catch ‘em. Always.
Okay, final question. Give us the ultimate pro tip.
Never run in a straight line, keep your head moving, and half-press the trigger so you can fire first when someone jumps out. Trust me – you’ll thank me later.

Book early. Their calendar fills faster than a laser rifle overheats. Suit up, tag out, and may the best squad survive.
