The Lowdown
Nestled above the Karma climbing trail, Lama Studio is more than just a fitness space—it’s a hub for movement, strength, and a thriving community. Founded by Martyna, a passionate climber and fitness enthusiast, the studio offers everything from yoga and Pilates to calisthenics, mobility flow, and specialized classes for new and expectant moms. We sat down with Martyna to dig deeper into her vision for Lama Studio and her journey as a fitness entrepreneur.

The Interview
What inspired you to open Lama Studio, and why Dębiec?
I wanted a space where everyone could train in a friendly, supportive environment. Since I climbed at Karma, I saw the potential to complement climbing with mobility and strength classes. Now, both climbers and locals train here.

You’re planning a WINDSURFING & ANIMAL FLOW SUMMER CAMP! Tell us more.
Yes! From June 5-8, we’re heading to Jastarnia for windsurfing and Animal Flow sessions on the beach. I’ll lead the water training, and Eliza Fortalska, a certified Animal Flow instructor, will handle land-based sessions. It’s the perfect mix of movement, relaxation, and great food by the Baltic Sea.
Why the name “Lama Studio”?
I wanted something easy to remember that also reflected the yoga vibe. “Lama” reminds some of the soft, friendly animal, while others see a connection to Buddhist teachings. Plus, it fits well next to Karma!
What’s your favorite class to teach?
It depends on the day! Yoga for balance, Pilates for strength, and Animal Flow for energy. There’s always something to match my mood and needs.
What’s the hardest workout for beginners?
Animal Flow. It demands endurance, strength, and mobility. But we break it down step by step, so everyone builds confidence and improves over time.
What’s the easiest class for newcomers?
Yoga. It’s paced to individual needs, with instructors ensuring a comfortable and mindful experience.
Have you always been into fitness?
Yes, but mostly winter and water sports. As a ski, snowboard, and windsurfing instructor, I spent a lot of time outdoors. When I moved to Poznań, I looked for ways to stay active in the city, leading me to climbing and fitness training.
Why introduce Animal Flow to Lama Studio?
It’s a unique, bodyweight-based workout that blends yoga, gymnastics, and capoeira. It’s fun, challenging, and still rare in Poland. We even take it outdoors in warm months!

How do you find balance in life?
Through regular movement, time in nature, and maintaining a healthy work-rest balance. In classes, I aim to balance intensity and mindfulness, so students feel both challenged and cared for.
