Coco Hair. Agnieszka Spills the Tea on Glam, Trends, and Salsa Moves

If glam had a poster girl, it’d be Agnieszka, the boss lady behind Coco Hair on Strzelecka 5 Street in Poznań’s Old Town. A true specialist in total hair transformations, Agnieszka has been owning the game for decades. We pulled up for a chat about her journey, the industry, and what’s hot in the world of hair right now. Spoiler alert: it’s wavy, feminine, and full of vibes.

Hey Agnieszka, thanks for linking up with us! So, first things first—why the name Coco Hair?
Coco Chanel is my all-time favorite brand, so naming my salon after it just felt right. I couldn’t resist!

Do you remember the very first haircut you ever did?
Oh, definitely! It was 27 years ago. Back in the day, I ran a couple of salons in Poznań before I decided to chase something new and take a job abroad.

Wait, hold up. You left Poland? Where’d you go, and what were you up to?
I went to Istanbul and worked as a backstage stylist for the showbiz industry. It was such a wild, incredible experience—so much creativity and hustle.

How long were you out there? And what’s Istanbul like—good and bad?
I spent four years there before coming back to open Coco Hair. The good? The people and the food. Turkish cuisine is unmatched. The bad? The traffic and parking—absolute chaos. It was a daily nightmare, haha!

Alright, quickfire—Polish guys or Egyptian guys?
Hahaha… neither. Cuban guys all the way! My boyfriend’s Cuban, so you know I gotta represent.

How’s your salsa game, though?
On point! No competition there.

You’re always looking so glamorous. How long does it take you to get ready in the mornings?
Honestly? I spend more time walking my Shih Tzu, Sofia. She’s practically salon staff—you’ll spot her hanging out sometimes.

No chill tracksuit at home? Really?
Hahaha, nope. Glam all the way, even at home.

What’s your favorite part of styling hair?
Total metamorphosis. I love taking someone from, say, black to blonde—it’s such a dramatic transformation and always leaves the client feeling brand new.

What’s trending right now?
Definitely wavy hair. It’s so feminine and timeless. Think Victoria’s Secret models—that soft, effortless look is super popular with my clients.

Okay, let’s go extreme. If someone walked in with perfect hair and asked you to shave it all off, would you do it?
Hahaha… probably not. I’d have to talk them out of it!

I see you’ve got a Mounir certificate on the wall. What’s the story there?
Mounir is a high-end hair brand. I use their products and have been trained on how to work with them for maximum effect. I’m super proud to be part of their network. They’re all about innovation and precision.

Do friends and family hit you up for free haircuts?
Oh, all the time! The last time was at a BBQ. Somehow, I ended up cutting someone’s hair in the middle of it, haha!

How about color—what’s popping right now?
Natural tones with light highlights. It’s all about subtlety and dimension.

Ever met a woman with zero color in her hair?
Once, maybe. It’s rare, haha.

Why do women love coloring their hair so much?
I think it’s about change. We just love switching things up—it’s fun, empowering, and keeps life interesting.

Should guys do the same, or is natural the way to go?
Think George Clooney. Most women love the natural look on men, so I’d say stick with what works.

How much does a color session start at?
350 PLN, depending on what you’re after.

Your salon’s got rave reviews. How can people reach you?
The easiest way is through Instagram—just slide into my DMs!

Thanks for the chat, Agnieszka. You’ve got such a chill, friendly vibe—I bet your clients love that. But one last thing… who cuts your hair?
Hahaha! That’s a problem. I usually do it myself because I’m such a picky customer. Nobody else can get it just right!

Wrapping Up

And there you have it—Agnieszka, the glam queen of Coco Hair. Whether it’s a wavy, model-inspired look or a full-on hair transformation, she’s got you covered. One visit, and you’ll see why old-school charm mixed with cutting-edge skills keeps Coco Hair pushing Poznań’s hair game. 💇‍♀️
