Chillin’ with Artur

The Lowdown

Yo, Poznań, listen up! We caught up with Artur, one of the masterminds behind the dope new hangout, Ulotnie Bar & Street Art. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re missing out. This spot just dropped on May 3, 2024, at Ratajczaka Street in the Old Town, taking over the legendary Ministerstwo Browaru. Artur’s got a solid 14-year track record in the gastro game, and he’s brought his A-game to Ulotnie. Here’s the lowdown on what’s popping at this new hotspot.

The Interview

Poznań Daily: Hey Artur, how’d you and your partner Daniel link up?

Artur: Oh man, we go way back. I was managing for David over at Lot Chmiel on Żydowska Street. The idea for Ulotnie was mine—I pitched it to Daniel and twisted his arm to be my partner. And here we are, making magic happen.

Poznań Daily: So, do you hit the bottle every day?

Artur: (laughs) Nah, man, I need my downtime. I take a day off in between. Can’t be running on empty!

The Art

Poznań Daily: What’s the deal with the street art on your walls?

Artur: We’re all about that local street art life. We even kicked off with an exhibition from Rojber, who’s a big name in the street art scene around here. We want Ulotnie to be a canvas for the freshest local talent.

Street Vibes

Poznań Daily: The inside is fire—what’s the scoop on the outside vibe?

Artur: Oh, the outside game is strong too! We’ve got these huge glass walls that showcase our street art, so even from outside, you get a taste of the vibe we’re rocking inside. Plus, there’s a chill seating area around the back with its own entrance—perfect for a more laid-back, romantic vibe. And yeah, you’ve gotta check out the legendary Poznań Giant Perscope mural on the wall; it’s a total standout. It’s all about keeping the energy flowing from the sidewalk to the back patio.

The Liquid

Poznań Daily: What’s your go-to drink these days?

Artur: Gotta be a Gin and Tonic or our Penicillin cocktail with Vulin lager. It’s a game-changer.

Poznań Daily: How many taps you got?

Artur: We’re rocking 14 taps. That’s a mix of beer, cocktails, and frizzante. You gotta try our Paloma Mexican—grapefruit, salt, lime, vodka, and lime habanero. It’s fire!

Poznań Daily: What’s the crowd favorite?

Artur: Our IPA draft is a hit at 24 PLN, but the TAG cocktail is where it’s at. It’s our spin on the Pornstar Martini, and it’s 35 PLN of pure bliss.

Poznań Daily: What are your hours?

Artur: We’re open from 4 PM to 1 AM every day. Swing by and vibe with us.

Poznań Daily: Any funny stories? Like, has anyone ever ducked out without paying?

Artur: (laughs) Not yet, thankfully! But we keep our eyes peeled.

The Challenge

Poznań Daily: And what’s your favorite arcade game?

Artur: Metal Slug, no question. I’m a beast at it. Come challenge me if you think you can take me down!

Final Question

Poznań Daily: Its been a pleasure to meet you. One more thing. If Ulotnie were a track, what would its vibe be?

Artur: Oh, it’d definitely be a high-energy, eclectic mix—something like a mashup of funky beats with a bit of old-school hip-hop. Think late-night grooves with a splash of street flavor. Just like our place, it’s got that perfect blend of classic and fresh, with a vibe that keeps you coming back for more.

The Outro

Alright, folks, if you haven’t hit up Ulotnie yet, get on it. Artur and the crew are making waves, and it’s the spot to be. Drop by, soak in the vibes, and tell Artur Poznań Daily sent you. You’ll get the best of the city’s street art and top-notch drinks all in one place. Peace out and see you there!
