Trattoria Rimini: What do the pizzas in Winogrady’s first-ever Italian restaurant taste like that opened in 1996?

Trattoria Rimini, founded in 1996, proudly holds the title of the oldest Italian restaurant in Winogrady. Speaking with the owner, Roman, it becomes clear that the restaurant’s enduring success is rooted in its commitment to adapting the menu to meet the evolving tastes and expectations of its guests. The secret sauce, so to speak, lies not just in the diverse menu but, more importantly, in the exceptional quality of ingredients directly sourced from Italy. We think we captured the spirit of the place pretty well in these two photos.

After 26 years, Trattoria Rimini continues to be a local favorite—a testament to its enduring appeal in the dynamic culinary landscape. It’s a feat that may sound easy, but that journey is anything but. The classic-style interior and pictures of Italian photos, coupled with the pizzaiolo’s proximity to the tables, enhance the overall dining experience, adding an extra layer of warmth and authenticity. This is Old School!

The pizzeria prides itself on utilizing exclusively authentic Italian components like pancetta, prosciutto cotto, prosciutto crudo, and salami napoli, infusing their dishes with an unmistakable taste and aroma. A noteworthy highlight is the in-house preparation of pasta, crafted using genuine Italian flour. This meticulous approach ensures a unique flavor and texture, synonymous with the essence of authentic Italian cuisine. We are here though for the pizzas!

One highly recommended signature dish is the Margherita pizza—a classic. Crafted on the finest Italian flour dough, featuring their distinctive mozzarella and robust tomatoes, it’s priced at 27 PLN. For a flavorful twist, try their signature Pizza Rimini, featuring cheese, pancetta, onions, and mushrooms. A delicious deviation worth exploring! To accompany, my colleague opted for the steaming Raspberry tea.

Our personal favorite though was the Caprese. Enjoy the light and crispy goodness of this pizza, topped with mozzarella, fresh basil, and cherry tomatoes and Olive oil.. For a refreshing companion, try it with their Blue Curacao mocktail—it’s a delightful pairing for a casual night out!

In closing, Trattoria Rimini, with its rich history dating back to 1996, stands as a testament to enduring Italian authenticity in Winogrady. Through a commitment to quality, adaptability, and timeless charm, this oldest gem continues to capture the hearts and taste buds of locals. As we absorb the Old School ambiance, Trattoria Rimini remains a local beacon, showcasing that the journey of 26 years is a celebration of tradition and a promise of more to come.
