The Accounting Queen of Poznań: Expert Help with Taxes, Business & More

Yo Poznan!

Poznań Daily reports on everything… or so we thought. But when we sat down recently and tried to figure out what we haven’t covered yet, a long list rolled out like an unpaid invoice from 2015. So we did the logical thing: we tackled it alphabetically. A is for… Accountants. Glamorous? Not really. Necessary? Absolutely. Sexy? We’ll get back to you on that one.

But forget boring calculators and dusty ledgers. Because when we started digging into Poznań’s number-crunching scene, we struck gold. Meet Elżbieta Janik-Krause, the founder of Kancelaria Rachunkowa Denarius — a name that sounds like an ancient Roman currency and, frankly, carries just as much value.

Nestled right in the Old Town on ul. Wenecjańska 7/1, this place isn’t just a firm – it’s a fortress of fiscal responsibility. With over 14 years in the game, a team of 14 sharp minds, and the kind of calm confidence that only comes from balancing chaos on a spreadsheet, Olga is not here to play. They’re here to deduct, advise, and conquer.

From Pixels to Profits

We caught up with Elżbieta between coffee and consultations. And how did she get into accounting, you ask? Plot twist – she wanted to be a graphic designer. But back when Poland had a 17% unemployment rate (ouch), she grabbed the first opportunity that came her way. It happened to involve a desk, a calculator, and a suspiciously quiet office.

“When I started entering numbers into the right fields, something just clicked,” she told us with a laugh. “I’d helped my parents track income and expenses as a teenager, so I guess I’ve always had a thing for numbers.”

Who knew your childhood piggy bank could be career prep?

The Denarius Difference

Now, if you’re thinking all accounting firms are created equal – think again. Denarius has all the right numbers:

Over 14 years in business

14+ team members

Great English-speaking service

Prime Old Town location

A modern, inviting office where your financial stress quietly dies in a corner. They’ve got receipts – and they organize them too.

All Business, Some Pleasure

Elżbieta’s success has not only earned her professional respect — it’s bought her something we all dream of: free time. And how does she use it? By turning accounting into entertainment.

Check out Denarius on social media and you’ll often spot her starring in fun, creative reels about taxes, payroll, and all things accounting. No, seriously. They’re catchy. They’re funny. And they somehow make balance sheets feel like trending content.

“Accounting can be fun too, right?” she jokes.

We agree.

Joint-stock companies: from 1,000 PLN/month

Foundations & sports associations: from 600 PLN/month

Putting Them to the Test

We’ve booked an interview with Elżbieta herself — and because we’re chaotic like that — we’re throwing in a 30-minute case study challenge just to see if her team can crack it under pressure. Think of it like “Hell’s Kitchen,” but with spreadsheets and tax brackets.

Stay tuned for our full sit-down — including hard-hitting questions like: Can Excel really solve all your problems? Is there a sexy side to bookkeeping? And most importantly… can I write off my weekend trip to Zakopane as a “business development expense”?

Need an Accountant?

We’ll say it louder for the freelancers in the back: if you need someone to sort out your finances, set up your business, or just explain why ZUS keeps messaging you at midnight — go visit Denarius. Their English is on point, the location is unbeatable, and you might just walk out feeling fiscally enlightened.

We did the homework so you don’t have to.
