Something New. We’re Talkin’ Street Buns, Baby!

Yo Poznan!

If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably walked around the city with two thoughts in your head:

“When is someone going to open something that really slaps?”

“Why doesn’t my lunch come in a sexy baguette more often?”

Well, folks, we’ve got breaking news hot off the street grill: Bagiety has landed—literally, “Baguettes” for our non-Polish-speaking readers who still haven’t opened Duolingo—and we’re vibing hard.

You may have already caught them on social media—guys dressed as baguettes, walking around Poznań like snack-shaped superheroes. Not a fever dream. Just genius marketing. And behind that crispy crust of humor is some very serious flavor.

Not New New

Now let’s rewind a second. Bagiety isn’t brand new. They’ve been serving banger buns from a dark kitchen (that’s street food code for delivery-only, folks) for a few months now. Word spread, buns flew out the kitchen, and boom—Poznań wanted more. So what does one do when their tasty side hustle starts to blow up? If you’re Filip, a talented software engineer apparently moonlighting as a flavor wizard, you do the right thing—you bring it to the streets.

Location?
Kantaka 10, just off Święty Marcin. A stone’s throw from the city centre. You can’t miss it—your nose will guide you there.

Caught a Whiff, Now We’re Hooked

We only had five minutes between meetings (we’re very busy, clearly), but the second we stepped inside, we were hit with a smell that could start wars. We didn’t even eat. Just stood there, hypnotized, eyes glazed like donuts, silently promising the universe we’d come back hungry. Spoiler: we’re going back very soon to choose our Top 3 Bagiety Bangers™.

In the meantime, here’s a little taste (pun intended) of the current menu—we haven’t tried them yet, but based on the ingredients alone, our mouths are already in love.

The Line-Up

Niebieski Kogut

Chicken breast in panko, fried zucchini, pickled onion, blue cheese sauce – 32 zł. Sounds like the golden crunch of chicken meets the bold punch of blue cheese. Could be the messy legend your lunch break has been waiting for.

Świnia

Pulled pork, cheddar cheese, caramelized brandy onions, lettuce, BBQ sauce – 34 zł. This combo screams sweet, smoky, and possibly addictive. If there’s a BBQ-flavored trap—we might walk into it willingly.

Podejrzany Koleś (“The Suspicious Dude”)

Chicken breast in panko, coleslaw, garlic sauce – 30 zł
Simple. Crunchy. Garlicy. Feels like the no-nonsense, low-key MVP of the menu. We’re very suspicious… that this might be the fan favorite.

Jednostka BLT

Chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, creamy garlic sauce – 37 zł
It’s giving us upgraded classic vibes. If this tastes as good as it looks on paper, we might have to call it the “Lunch Unit.”

Akta Sous Vide

Slow-cooked beef shoulder, lettuce, pickled daikon, red onion, roasted garlic kewpie mayo – 45 zł
We have questions. Like: are we even ready for this level of flavor complexity in a baguette? It sounds elite. Possibly dangerous. We’ll find out soon.

Zbrodnia i Curry (“Crime and Curry”)

Pulled jackfruit in curry sauce, tsukemono cucumber, cabbage, red onion, kewpie mayo – 28 zł Vegan? Yes. Boring? Not even close. The jackfruit + curry situation is calling our name. Might be the sleeper hit of the menu.

Tajniak z Azji (“Asian Undercover Agent”)

Oyster mushrooms in ponzu-miso, kimchi, Thai basil mayo, chives, sesame – 39 zł. We don’t know who put this much umami into one bun, but we want to thank them. Funky, fresh, possibly a total wild card.

So which one’s your type?
Are you more Suspicious Dude or Sous Vide Files?
We’re personally torn between a curry crime and a blue cheese incident—but we’ll reserve full judgment until we’ve devoured them all in the name of journalism.

Wrapping Up

We’ve got a sit-down with Filip next week, and you better believe we’re bringing questions, hunger, and stretchy pants. We’ll get the inside scoop (like: why baguettes? why costumes? and who is the suspicious dude??) plus, we’ll give you the lowdown on our official Top 3 Picks.

Until then—skip the usual lunch routine and treat yourself to something deliciously weird and wildly good at Bagiety.
Kantaka 10
No reservations, just vibes.

And if you go before us—snap a pic, tag us, and tell Filip we sent you. He owes us a bite. For lazy people, here is the online link to order.
