POZNAŃ SUMMER VIBES: 3 OUTDOOR POOLS TO COOL OFF WITHOUT LEAVING THE CITY

The Lowdown

Summer in the city can hit hard — the sun’s blazing, your flat feels like a sauna, and the thought of trekking out to a lake somewhere in the suburbs? Nah, not today. Luckily, Poznań’s got your back. If you’re more into clean, chlorinated pool water than muddy lake bottoms, and you want to stay close to your favorite cafés and tram stops, there are a few outdoor swimming spots right here in the city that’ll keep you cool without leaving town.

Kasprowicz Park

Let’s kick things off with the OG of Poznań pools — the summer swimming pool at Park Kasprowicza, also known to locals as “Basen Letni na Kasprzaku.” Built back in the 70s, it’s a true city classic. Generations of Poznań folks have cooled off here, and this summer it’s back in full swing starting June 23. You can dive in daily from 9:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m., and for all the early birds and serious swimmers, there’s even a dedicated swim-only time from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning in the 50-meter sports pool. The site also offers a chill basin with a slide, a splash zone for the kiddos, beach volleyball courts, street workout stations, a sunbed rental spot, and a food stand for those post-swim cravings.

Tickets are super affordable too — 23 PLN for a regular ticket and 16 PLN if you’ve got a discount. If you’re a Large Family Card holder or a senior with a Poznań Golden Card, you’ll get extra deals, and there’s even a 10% discount if you buy a 10-entry pass. Not bad for a solid summer day in the city.

Chwiałka

Next up, we hit Chwiałka — a low-key gem just off ul. Spychalskiego. It’s not as flashy as some of the newer spots, but it absolutely delivers. The setup includes a big pool, a medium one with a slide, and a splash area for the tiny swimmers, complete with their own little slides. There’s also space to play beach volleyball or ping pong, and you can grab a deckchair to soak up the sun in peace.

A small food kiosk adds to the local pool vibe — think fries, snacks, and cold drinks on hand. It’s the kind of place you can hit up after work or on a spontaneous Saturday when you just need to beat the heat without planning your whole day around it. Prices hover around 20–25 PLN depending on what you’re getting.

Termy

And finally, for those who like their pool days with a touch of luxury, Termy Maltańskie’s outdoor beach zone is calling your name. Located right by Lake Malta on ul. Termalna, it’s got everything you’d expect from one of Poland’s biggest wellness centers — stunning views, chill sunbathing areas, top-tier facilities, and easy access to all the restaurants and walking trails nearby.

The vibe here is more beach club than community pool, and it’s perfect for those lazy summer days when you want to relax in style. Tickets are a bit pricier — 46 PLN for an hour on a regular ticket, 37 PLN for a reduced, and 85 PLN if you’re going family-style — but honestly, the experience makes it worth the extra złoty.

Wrapping Up

So yeah, whether you’re looking for a no-fuss local dip, a fun family outing, or a touch of that beach resort feel without leaving Poznań city limits, these three outdoor pools are where it’s at. The best part? You don’t even need to leave the city center. Just grab your towel, slap on some sunscreen, and hop on a tram.
