Bojar believes that her beauty helps in tense situations during a football match.

“We (women) have a natural charm that allows us to maintain calm during a game, even in a tense situation,” Bojar explained to the Polish TVN24 program about the qualities needed to officiate in men’s sports. Maybe the players are just too stunned by her beauty!

She was a Latin American model, before turning pro football referee. She was born in Southern Brazil and captured huge fame during the world cup in 2014. Later she got selected as a match official for Copa do Brasil. One of the highest ranking women referees in the world.

She is a Uruguayan association match referee and lawyer by profession. Umpierrez working with FIFA since 2010 and in 2016, and become the first woman in Uruguayan football to referee a match.
