What made you three launch Move Up Spot?
We wanted a space built on our values, not industry trends. Movement is the best medicine—it heals, empowers, and brings joy. We saw the gaps in commercial gyms and decided to create a place that truly puts people first.
What’s the story behind the name?
We knew it had to mean something. Move stands for action, growth, and progress. Up is about leveling up—whether that’s getting stronger, moving pain-free, or reaching your goals. Spot represents our space—a place where you feel at home while pushing your limits.
What was the hardest part of starting out?
Definitely the renovation. We did a lot of it ourselves—demolition, insulation, painting. It was exhausting, but also proof of how much we believed in this. Without the support of our friends and family, it wouldn’t have been possible.

You offer unique classes like fascia training and physio-ballet—what makes them special?
Unlike traditional gyms, we focus on movement that matters. Fascia training improves mobility, flexibility, and injury prevention, while physio-ballet combines strength, balance, and coordination.
And because our classes are small, trainers actually coach and correct—you’re never just another face in the room.

What’s one fitness myth you wish would die?
That a workout only counts if you’re sore and exhausted. Pushing yourself to the limit every time isn’t sustainable. Real progress comes from smart, consistent training—not burning out.

Your team is all women—was that intentional?
The owners are women, but our team includes both men and women, each with unique specializations—physiotherapists, strength coaches, a mental coach. What clients do notice, though, is the attention to detail. They say, ‘A woman must have designed this,’ and they’re right.

It’s a mix. Long-time clients leveling up, beginners finding their strength, and people recovering from injuries. Our approach isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s about what works for you.
If someone could take just one class, which should it be?
CORE or PILATES. A strong foundation is everything. Whether you’re lifting weights, running, or just moving through daily life, your core is key.
Where do you see Move Up Spot in five years?
We’re constantly growing—new classes, new members, new challenges. The dream? More locations, more people moving better, and a bigger impact. But for now, we’re focused on building something truly special right here in Poznań.
