Jeżyce’s New Spot for Cold Brews and Fire Snacks at Beer Funtasy

The Lowdown

The Poznań Daily crew is always on the hunt for fresh spots, and we lucked out when we stumbled on the recently opened Beer Funtasy while cruising down Szamarzewskiego 1 in Jezyce. This place just screams chill with ice-cold taps and street snacks. It takes over from the tired Fish Beer House that used to exist there but this time with a serious revamp. We even chopped it up with the mastermind behind it all, the new co-owner Nazariy, who gave us the lowdown on why Beer Funtasy is about to be Jeżyce’s go-to beer haven

Nazariy

Nazariy knows his stuff. Living in Poznan for 10 years, Nazariy, together with his neighbor and business partner Michał, opened the first location in Plewiska in October 2023, and it was such a hit that they expanded quickly—opening another in Luboń, then Grunwald, and now Jeżyce.

Grunwald

Each spot’s got its own flavor, but the vibe remains the same: laid-back, with killer drinks and great snacks. Jeżyce is his latest, nestled right in the middle of one of Poznań’s trendiest streets.

The Drink

Beer Funtasy’s fridge is stacked with over 50 beers, plus cider and Aperol on tap. Highlights include Mukulin, a smooth Ukrainian brew with malty richness and a subtle hop finish. Then there’s Sady Beer, a local gem from just outside Poznań that’s crisp and refreshing. And the Guinness? It’s not your average pour. Nazariy’s got it set up to be as authentic as it gets, so for 20 PLN, you’re getting a legit pint.

The Snacks

We spotted some seriously tempting snacks on deck. Think dried meat and fish snacks—carefully dried pieces that look like the ultimate pairing for a cold beer. They’ve also got crispy bread toasts just begging to be dipped or devoured on their own. And those Czech handmade chips? Handmade, with that unique, traditional vibe that totally stands out from your usual bar fare. We didn’t get a chance to dive in this time, but you can bet we’ll be back soon to try it all. Stay tuned for the full taste test!

Watch the Game

Beer Funtasy isn’t just about the drinks—it’s all about the vibe. With Champions League matches on the screens and other sporting events, it’s a solid option when you’re looking to sit back with a cold pint and catch the game. Open 7 days a week, staying open till 22:00 on weekdays and even later on weekends

We will be back

Heads up—there’s a 15% discount on drinks if you flash your student ID. Sadly, I’m about 30 years past qualifying, so take advantage while you’re still young and not paying full price like the rest of us washed-up adults. Beer Funtasy is straight-up legit. With a fire beer selection, next-level snacks, and a vibe that makes you wanna stay all night, this is your new go-to beer spot in Jeżyce. We’ll be back to break down the top snacks and the coldest brews, but if you can’t wait for our take, don’t sleep on it—grab a pint, chill out, and hit us up in the comments with your own hot takes!
