Yo Poznan!

Believe it or not, when we first landed in Poznań over 20 years ago (yeah, we’ve been here that long!), there wasn’t a single proper barbershop in sight. We’re not kidding. Just a few old-school hairdressers that smelled faintly of perm solution and hairspray—and only a couple of them still exist today.

So why are we suddenly turning our beady little eyes toward barbershops?
Firstly, you lot keep asking us for recommendations, and we love you, so we listen. Secondly, there are so many now that we thought, “Heck, let’s make a Top 10 list.” And thirdly… well, we needed a trim ourselves. Pure journalism, obviously.

Kicking Off!

We kicked off our deep dive in Wilda, because why not? And lo and behold, one barbershop jumped out at us: Barbershop Po Męsku (for the linguistically challenged, that means Barbershop “For Men”. You’re welcome.)

Now, a 5-star rating on Booksy from nearly 290 reviews? That’s the kind of digital handshake we trust.
We called up the boss lady herself, Kamilla, to get the lowdown. Turns out she’s been snipping hair for 17 years, which is confusing because she looks about 25.
Suspicious? Maybe. Witchcraft? Possibly. Talent? Definitely.

We dropped by for a quick visit and met Kamilla along with her trusty scissor-wielding sidekick, Kasia. This new location (they moved in April 2025) is fresh, sleek, and definitely proof they outgrew their last place around the corner. Always a good sign: growth.

Fun Fact!

Kamilla originally started in women’s hair, but after developing allergies to women’s beauty products (true story!), she switched to men’s cuts. Clearly fate had a fade in store for her.

The vibe? Friendly, relaxed, professional… and yes, fun.
So what’s the trending trim these days? According to Kamilla, it’s the “broccoli haircut” – also known as the Zoomer perm, bird’s nest, or alpaca hair. That’s right, Gen-Z boys are out here trying to look like curly vegetables. If that’s your thing, Kamilla’s got you.

If you’re a 30+ legend though, fear not. They’re pros at the classic cuts too. You’ll leave looking less like a lumberjack and more like a legend.

Extras? Beard shaping, head massage, full wax… it’s all there.

Oh, and don’t forget to say hello to Chianti, the resident doggo with a name that screams Italian wine bar. Turns out Kamilla and her husband are Italy-obsessed (who isn’t?), and Chianti is both their four-legged mascot and part-time therapist.

Final Fade

We didn’t do the “before and after” glow-up photos yet (you’ll have to wait for our transformation, darling), but we’ve booked in and will report back. Also, we’re lining up a full interview with Kamilla because we’re nosy and love a good backstory.
