A Taste of Italy in the Heart of Poznan: Newly Opened Lusi Restaurant Review

Nestled in the charming streets of Sw Wojciech in the Old Town of Poznan, the recently opened Lusi Cafe Bar offers a delightful escape to the flavors of Italy. Owned by the visionary Olga, who brings a fresh perspective to the restaurant scene, Lusi promises an unforgettable dining experience. With plans to expand to the building with a blue door, and an Italian-inspired addition called Sofia, this place is poised for success.

Upon entering from the street to Lusi”s courtyard, guests are greeted by two large iron gates that lead to a spacious courtyard reminiscent of a scene from Tuscany. The outdoor seating area, shaded by the surrounding buildings, provides an idyllic setting for enjoying a meal. It’s easy to forget you’re in Poznan as you soak in the Italian ambiance.

The menu at Lusi is a culinary journey through Neopolitan cuisine, with a focus on delectable pizzas, spritzers, and cocktails to name just a few, and their renowned espresso. We are told that their espresso, crafted from a secret blend with a distinctive flavor profile, has earned prestigious awards and is a must-try for coffee enthusiasts.

During our visit, we indulged in the Pizza Napolitana, adorned with tomatoes, mozzarella, anchovies, and black olives. Each bite was bursting with flavor, showcasing the perfect balance of savory and tangy notes. Accompanying our meal was the signature Lusi Spritz, a refreshing concoction of Millhills Pink, prosecco, Passoa, and carbonated water. The combination of fruity and floral undertones made for a delightful sip.

To complete our Italian dining experience, we savored the much-coveted espresso. Served with finesse, the izzo coffee boasted a rich and robust flavor profile that lingered on the palate, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Additionally, we highly recommend exploring their carefully curated wine selection, offering a variety of options to perfectly complement your meal.

Overall, Lusi Restaurant is a real hidden gem in the Old Town, offering an authentic Italian experience away from the tourist crowds. With its charming courtyard, exceptional cuisine, and warm hospitality, Lusi has quickly become one of our favorite dining destinations in Poznan. We eagerly await the opening of Sofia on the other side of the courtyard and look forward to exploring the expanded menu offerings. Grazie mille, Lusi, for a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll be back soon!
