Discover Poznań’s Most Romantic Balcony at La Bottega

Agnieszka & Roberto

La Bottega on Krysiewicza 5/1 — just steps from Półwiejska. If you don’t know it yet, now’s the time. Run by Agnieszka and Alberto, who met in Warsaw back in 2018, the spot found a new home on one of Poznań’s top foodie streets, alongside heavy hitters like Muga and Yetztu.

The Balcony

The first-floor balcony overlooking Poznań might just be the most romantic spot in the city — especially at sunset. It’s the table everyone wants, usually booked out weeks in advance. We got lucky, slipping in before opening to chat with Agnieszka and Alberto while trying some of their standout dishes.

Our Top 3

Our top three picks really show what La Bottega does best — especially when it comes to seafood. The Stringozzi allo Scoglio is the standout: thick, al dente pasta from Umbria, giving it that proper hearty bite. Loaded with mussels, it’s rich, salty, and seriously satisfying.

Last up was the Gamberoni all’Arancia — and it’s a proper flavour flex. Juicy prawns in a delicate orange sauce, bringing this sweet-citrus hit that cuts through beautifully while keeping the seafood naturally rich. Clean, elegant, and seriously well balanced — you can taste Agnieszka’s control of flavour in every bite.

The Drink

To round it off, we went with a chilled prosecco and a non-alcoholic Limoncello-ade. Crisp, fizzy, and citrusy — the perfect pairing to cut through the seafood and lift the whole meal. Simple combo, but it just works.

Its all about the Freshness

Yes, you might wait a little longer than usual — everything is made to order — but that’s the point. It’s all about freshness and quality. Very Italian piano piano energy: slow, careful, and done properly. Worth every minute.

The Dessert

For dessert, we indulged in Alberto’s specialties. The Pistachio Semifreddo was a revelation—lighter than ice cream, it melted on the tongue, offering a creamy, nutty flavor that was both rich and ethereal.

TheTiramisú, delicately light on alcohol, was a masterclass in balance, with rich coffee notes and a velvety cream that made it a perfect end to the meal.

Wrapping Up

Agnieszka and Alberto, who spend their free time exploring other restaurants, have built one of the standout dining spots in Poznań. If you can’t get the balcony table, the window seats upstairs are a great alternative with just as much charm.

Definitely one to try if you’re after a proper Italian experience.
