BREAKING NEWS: CBA RAIDS POZNAN CITY HALL IN CORRUPTION SCANDAL — MILLIONS, LUXURY WATCHES AND NEW DETENTIONS REVEALED

WOW!

A major anti-corruption operation has sent shockwaves through Poznań’s administrative and development circles after officers from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) detained two individuals — including a Poznań City Hall employee and the president of a real estate development company.

The operation, carried out on May 27, 2026, is part of an expanding investigation into alleged corruption within local government structures linked to urban development decisions.

According to the CBA, the detained individuals are suspected of providing and receiving financial benefits aimed at influencing administrative outcomes connected to construction investments handled by Poznań City Hall and related institutions.

But this is not an isolated case.

Investigators claim that between 2020 and 2025, real estate developers allegedly offered financial incentives to selected public officials in exchange for favourable decisions in ongoing investment procedures — a system that, if confirmed, points to a deeply rooted network of influence around key urban development processes.

During coordinated searches conducted at Poznań City Hall and multiple locations across Greater Poland, officers seized extensive documentation, electronic devices, and significant material evidence.

The scale of the alleged gains is striking:

  • PLN 1.3 million in cash
  • Collector coins valued at approx. PLN 70,000
  • Luxury watches worth nearly PLN 300,000

All of which has now been secured as part of the ongoing investigation.

The detained individuals were brought before the prosecutor’s office and charged with a total of 10 offences, including corruption and money laundering.

Authorities stress that this is not the end of the case — far from it.

“This is the fifth stage of ongoing preparatory proceedings,” investigators stated. So far, 23 individuals have been charged in connection with 67 offences. In a previous development, a senior official from the Municipal Roads Authority in Poznań was allegedly caught red-handed in 2025 while accepting PLN 150,000 in financial benefits, and remains in custody.

The investigation continues to expand, with CBA officials confirming that further actions are expected.

As Poznań watches the story unfold, one thing is clear: what started as a corruption probe is now evolving into one of the most serious integrity investigations involving municipal structures in recent years.

And with each new development, the question only grows louder:

How deep does it go?
