The First Time
Yo, you ever watch your kid do something for the first time and think—“Wait… did she just surf?!” That was me last weekend at Kiekrz Lake, just outside Poznań, where my daughter had her first-ever wing foil lesson at the one and only Mysz Surf. And trust me, this ain’t your average school—this is straight-up Poland’s top-tier watersports dojo run by legends.
Let’s break it down real quick 👇

MYSZ SURF – CHAMPION DNA ONLY
When we say we wanted the best, we meant it. So we rolled up to Mysz Surf, run by Polish champ Piotr “Mysza” Myszkowski—yeah, that guy. And it doesn’t stop there: the school was originally founded by his dad, Grzegorz “Mysza” Myszkowski, Poland’s first-ever Olympic windsurfer. That’s generational greatness. 💪
The crew? Straight pros.
The vibe? Chill but focused.
The location? Dreamy little corner of Kiekrz with clean wind, perfect water, and sun for days.

Wing Foiling vs Regular Wind Surfing
Alright, if you’re still confused about what wing foiling actually is—here’s the street version:
Windsurfing = you’re holding onto a sail attached to the board. It’s all about balance, reading the wind, and steering with the sail.
Wing Foiling = ride a board with a hydrofoil underneath (so you rise above the water), and hold an inflatable wing (like a mini sail) to catch wind and glide.
No waves? No problem. Just wind + wing + vibe. You literally fly above the water.

The First Lesson: From Nervous to Gnarly
We linked up with Agnieszka, one of the coaches at Mysz Surf. Super friendly, calm, and mad knowledgeable. She showed my daughter the ropes on land first—how to hold the wing, control it, feel the wind. Then it was time to suit up and hit the water.

At first, it was all about finding balance. On a big stable board, my daughter started kneeling and using the wing to feel wind power. Within 3 minutes, she was standing.

By the end of the lesson… she was actually gliding.
Not full foil mode above the water just yet—but she was moving on her own. No cap.

Proud Parent Moment
I was blown away. Seriously. I didn’t expect anything past her wobbling around and falling in (which totally happened too 😅)—but to actually surf in lesson one?! That’s a win. The coaching was next level. After one session, it’s clear:
Give her 4–5 more lessons and she’ll be out there riding solo.

Final Word
If you’ve ever wanted to try something new, different, and straight-up dope, give wing foiling a shot. Don’t even think twice.
Mysza Surf is where it’s at. We’ll be back soon for round two, and we’ll keep you posted on how many lessons it takes before she’s out there flying solo!
