DIY Korean Food Spot in Poznań: 3 Must-Try Instant Meals You Can Even Cook & Eat In-Store

A quick Korean meal experience.

We visited Kimbap House – a Korean street food & concept store in Jeżyce to see how it differs from mainstream supermarkets, and it turns out it’s less about shopping and more about building your own quick Korean meal experience.

The big twist? You don’t just buy and leave — you can actually cook and eat on the spot, using hot water stations, basic tools, and a small eat-in area.

It’s cheap, fast, and surprisingly close to a real eat-out experience without being a restaurant. You can even mix in extras like fruit or pineapple into spicy bowls — and it somehow works.

We picked 3 must-try items perfect for home, office, or in-store cooking.

1. Insa-Dong Bulgogi Japchae – 14.89 zł

Classic Korean glass noodles with bulgogi-style flavour — sweet, savoury, slightly smoky, and super easy to upgrade.

Our verdict:

This is the “I want real food but I’m not cooking today” option.

Chewy noodles, deep sweet-savoury sauce, and that slightly addictive comfort vibe. Simple, but hits way above its price.

Bonus: add chili oil or pineapple if you want to mess with the flavour — surprisingly works.

2. Yopokki – Korean Tteokbokki – 13.50 zł

The viral Korean street snack — rice cakes in thick spicy sauce.

Our Verdict:

This one is pure instant satisfaction.

Chewy rice cakes, spicy-sweet sauce, and that addictive “just one more bite” energy. It’s not subtle — it’s a hit of quick Korean street food.

3. Tangle Bulgogi Noodles – 12.50 zł

Underrated pick — bulgogi-flavoured instant noodles with a slightly smoky Korean BBQ vibe.

Our Verdict:

This is the “cheap meal that tastes like you ordered it” option.

Sweet bulgogi flavour, soft noodles, and a thick sauce that clings to everything. Very easy win.

Office/home hack: add anything you find in the fridge and it instantly levels up.

Final vibe

What makes this spot different is the flexibility. You can buy and cook at home, take it to the office OR actually cook and eat it in-store using their hot water stations and setup

That in-store option is the real game changer — it turns instant food into a mini eat-out experience without the restaurant pricing.

And the best part? It still tastes legit. This isn’t your typical supermarket aisle situation.

It’s more like a DIY Korean food playground in the middle of Poznań — where you can build, tweak, and eat your own meal in 5–10 minutes.

Dont forget also their imported Korean drinks, such as Milkis, which is a unique Korean soft drink that mixes creamy milk flavour with fizzy soda, or our favorite Coco Palm, a fruity drink with real coconut jelly pieces inside. Refreshing, slightly sweet, and part drink, part snack. Perfect with spicy food.

Coming Next

Look out also for their Tuna Kimbap. A Korean rice roll made with tuna filling wrapped in rice and seaweed (gim).

Think of it as Korea’s answer to a sushi roll, but it’s usually larger, packed with more ingredients, and eaten as a quick meal rather than a delicate bite-sized dish. That review is coming up next!
