Yo Poznan
You already know how we roll at Poznań Daily — we’re always chasing that something special. The spots no one talks about. The places hidden behind the hype, outside of the Old Town glow or Jeżyce’s influencer glow-up.
So yeah, this time we ditched the Insta hotspots, closed our eyes, and straight-up jumped on a random-ass bus. No plan. No prep. Just vibes.
We caught the 174 from AWF (that’s like a 2-min bounce from Stary Browar) and rode it out, eyes peeled for anything that made us go “yo, hold up.”
And then it hit us
PITCA.
No joke — we saw the name pop up in a quick Google search and had to double take. That’s how you spell “pizza” if you’re Polish, btw. PITCA. Genius. 🤯

So, we jumped off the bus, fully intrigued. Their socials had some fire vibes, the pizza pics had us drooling mid-scroll, and honestly, we just had a feeling.
This is what the locals call an “osiedlowa pizzeria” — meaning it’s hidden in a classic Polish residential market zone, tucked between old-school kiosks, blocky flats, and those old mom-and-pop joints that are disappearing way too fast. We love that though — big nostalgia energy.
But make no mistake: Pitca ain’t old school inside. Huge windows, slick interior, and hella welcoming vibes. It’s a glow-up in the middle of the neighborhood — a total surprise.
We weren’t here to review the pizza just yet — we’ll save that for the official taste test — but we wanted to grab five with the brains behind the dough. And lucky us, both Jarek and Piotr were in the house.
Quick Backstory
They met back in 2018. Piotr was running a pizzeria called Na Łazarskim Cieście, and Jarek was flipping burgers at a different spot. They clicked, kept the convo flowing, and eventually cooked up a dream: Pitca.
New name. New energy. Same passion.

They told us it’s all about quality ingredients, community feels, and keeping it real. And you can tell. They’ve even got a chill little summer garden tucked near the blocks — it’s like you’re chilling in your grandma’s yard, if your grandma served pizza and cold craft beer.
Oh yeah — they’ve got a booze license now, so you can grab a craft brew, a wine, or a cocktail while soaking up the garden vibes. Perfect pre-weekend spot? You bet.

We didn’t eat (yet), but the pizza smelled great and looked next-level. Prices range from 31 PLN for a classic Margherita up to 50 for a shrimp stunner. We’re coming back in a few days for the full review, and you already know we’ll give you the honest top 3.

So until then —
Don’t be a lazy bastad.
