The Downlow
If you’ve ever been wandering through Poznań’s Old Town thinking, “Where’s the vibe tonight?” let us put you on game: Dram Bar. Tucked on Wroniecka Street, just a stone’s throw from the Market Square, this place isn’t just a bar—it’s a whole mood. Live music? They’ve got it every single night. Cocktails? Pure magic. Food? Let’s just say, they’re not playing.

We pulled up early to scope out the menu before the tunes started, and let us tell you—this ain’t your average bar grub. Dram Bar switches up their entire menu every few months, and right now, their cocktails theme is straight out of Hogwarts: magic and spells. The drink menu’s designed like a book of potions, and the dishes? Check our recommendations below!
The Grub
Butter Board (39 PLN)
We kicked things off with the Butter Board, and yo, this starter sets the tone. Chive butter, pine nuts, roasted onions, capers, crunchy chili, and artisan bread. The flavors slap. The butter’s creamy and herby, the chili adds heat, and the capers bring that salty tang. It’s the kind of starter that makes you wanna order two so you don’t have to share.

Duck Dish (79 PLN)
Everyone’s been hyping their duck, so you know we had to see what’s good. And let us tell you—it’s hands down the best duck in Poznań, no cap. Sous-vide duck fillet paired with mashed red cabbage (with bacon, btw), mushroom pâté, clove dumplings, and veal jus. The duck? Tender like butter. This ain’t your grandma’s roast duck—sous-vide locks in the flavor and makes it next-level juicy. The bacon-y cabbage adds some smoky sweetness, and those dumplings? Comfort food vibes, but elevated. Worth every złoty.

Dramen (35 PLN)
Next, we had to try their Dramen (get it? Ramen, but make it Dram). This bowl is packed with a beef and poultry broth so rich it feels like a hug in a bowl. They throw in sous-vide duck, udon noodles, a sesame egg, shiitake mushrooms, and green beans for the perfect balance of hearty and fresh. It’s cozy, flavorful, and lowkey addictive.

Beef Tartare (57 PLN)
And finally, the beef tartare. They’re not playing around with this one. Perfectly seasoned beef tenderloin mixed with anchovies, pancetta, onions, pickles, capers, chili, and Dijon mustard. Served with artisan bread for that perfect crunch. Every bite is a fire combo of salty, tangy, and spicy. If you’re into tartare, this is a must.

If you thought Dram Bar couldn’t get any better, wait till you hit dessert. The Professor Sprout Treat is straight-up genius. For just 35 PLN, you get three carrot cakes shaped to look like real carrots—yeah, you read that right. These aren’t just desserts; they’re edible art. The carrot sponge cake is soaked in Cointreau, layered with silky mascarpone, creamy white chocolate, zesty orange, and a crunch of nuts. It’s like a bite of magic to wrap up your night on the sweetest note possible.

The Drinks
Cocktails at Dram Bar aren’t just drinks—they’re experiences. Sticking with the magic theme, they’re all named after spells from Harry Potter. As the music started, we tried a few (okay, maybe more than a few), and here’s what made the cut.

What Is the Rubber Duck Used For? (45 PLN)
Rum Bumbu Original / coconut / banana / orange / cinnamon
Exotic, creamy, and smooth. Feels like a beach vacation in a glass (and rubber duck)

The Grim (42 PLN)

Served in a vintage teacup. This one’s got tart berry vibes balanced by earthy tea. Lowkey classy.

Sectumsempra (43 PLN)
Chivas 12 YO whisky / rhubarb / grapefruit / sparkling red wine / herbs
Sophisticated, refreshing, with a citrusy twist. Perfect for sipping while vibing to live music. This one will get you tipsy!
