Poznań’s New Food Wave: 14 Freshest Spots You Gotta Check Out

Yo Poznan!

Poznań’s food scene is on a heater right now. Every month it feels like another new spot is popping up, serving up something different, something fresh, something you just can’t scroll past without drooling. We’ve been making the rounds, forks in hand, and while there are still a few places we haven’t hit yet (don’t worry—we’ll report back soon), here’s the current lineup of the hottest new restaurants and cafés shaping the city’s flavor game

Oseyo25

Szewska 2

Korean BBQ has landed in Poznań, and it’s bringing the party. At Oseyo25 you get raw cuts of beef, pork belly, and veggies, plus your own tabletop grill to play chef. Wrap it all up in lettuce with sauce, eat in one bite, and repeat until blissfully stuffed. The vibe is wild—neon-lit back room straight out of Seoul, rooftop terrace for lazy afternoons, and a menu that keeps surprising (kimchi pancakes, mochi rice cakes, even a Melona popsicle in tonic water). Prices stay friendly, the portions are generous, and the whole thing is built for sharing. Easily one of the most fun food experiences in town right now. READ FULL REVIEW

Bagiety

Kantaka 10

Baguettes with swagger. What started as a dark-kitchen side hustle is now a full-blown flavor station in the city center. Seven stacked creations—like the slow-cooked beef Akta Sous Vide or the umami-packed Tajniak z Azji—prove this isn’t your average sandwich stop. Big portions, bold combos, and if you can’t finish? They’ll pack it up, no shame. But let’s be real—leftovers rarely survive. READ FULL REVIEW

El Patio

Św. Marcin 28

First stop: Mexico, baby. El Patio is Poznań’s newest hidden taco temple on Św. Marcin. Step inside and it’s cramped, loud, chaotic—and that’s exactly the point. Outside and you have a patio, as the name suggests. The vibe feels straight outta CDMX with plates flying and tables packed. The menu? A greatest hits playlist of tacos: slow-braised pork neck, beef, and the crowd favorite—crispy shrimp. We haven’t done a full review yet, but from the lines outside (seriously, weekends are madness) it’s clear El Patio is already serving the Poznań faithful. Tequila, tacos, tight space—what more do you want?

Sisi

Szamarzewskiego 1

Early risers, rejoice! Finally a breakfast spot that opens before 8:00. SISI’s got the coffee game on lock, but what sets it apart is the vibe: chic ceramics, warm interiors, and plates that actually look as good as they taste. Our move? The “Tree of Happiness”—a tower of spreads (both sweet and savory) served in little glass jars. It’s playful, it’s sharable, and it’s a straight-up morning mood boost. Wash it down with Royal Tea 0%, a sparkling, non-alcoholic tea that hits different. Easily one of our top 3 breakfasts in town. READ FULL REVIEW

Usman’s Palace

św. Marcin 38

Forget the cream-drenched “curry” clones — this is the real deal. Run by Usman himself, who grows many of his own herbs and veggies, this spot serves up proper Indian-Pakistani comfort food: homemade samosas with garden-fresh mint, paratha rolls that hit like desi kebabs, deeply spiced biryani, and warming masoor curry. Drinks are just as bold — don’t skip the mango lassi or the tangy tamarind juice. Casual, no-frills, all flavor. Easily the most authentic curry we’ve had in Poznań. READ FULL REVIEW

Umi Concept

Jackowskiego 24

This one’s for the Jeżyce crowd. UMI isn’t just a café—it’s a concept store that fuses good design, indie Polish brands, and damn good coffee (or matcha if that’s your lane). It feels less like a hangout and more like stepping into a boutique in Tokyo or Copenhagen—except you’re in Poznań. Need a gift? A cool new fit? Or just a quiet corner for a latte? UMI’s got you covered. Jeżyce just leveled up.

PITCA

Osiedle Wichrowe Wzgórze 121G

Tucked deep in the blocks, PITCA is a neighborhood secret with craft crusts, cold brews, and a garden that feels like grandma’s backyard. Their standout? The Pesto Pizza — Pelati tomato base, creamy ricotta, marinated zucchini, and a basil pesto that’s pure green gold. Light, fresh, and perfectly matched with an Aperol Spritz in the shade. At 42 zł a pie, it’s proof that top-tier ingredients don’t need city-center pretension. Street-style pizza, block-party soul. READ FULL REVIEW

Tatarka

Woźna 10, Old Town

Forget copy-paste menus — Tatarka brings Volga Tatar cuisine to the heart of Poznań. Think beef kulduny dumplings with a shot of rosoł on the side, layered goose-filled listkowiec, and fall-apart beef cheeks in red wine. Cozy wooden interiors, quick service, and a menu that’s short but full of punch. Add their pomegranate-ginger lemonade and complimentary chalka with honey, and you’ve got something truly one-of-a-kind. This isn’t your usual comfort food — it’s tradition, flavor, and discovery on a plate. READ FULL REVIEW

Czarnomorka

Stary Rynek 62

Poznań finally has a true seafood stronghold. Walk in and the first thing you see is a bed of ice stacked with fresh fish you can take home or let the kitchen turn into magic. Starters like tuna carpaccio with truffle oil or crispy fried smelt hit hard, but it’s the fisherman’s soup that steals the show — rich, golden, and worth docking early for (it’s free with orders before 16:00). Big mains range from creamy dor blue risotto with walnuts to a hefty shrimp burger and mussel-studded spaghetti. Prices stay fair, the vibe is lively, and Chef Yurii runs the galley like a rockstar. Busy, buzzing, and already one of the hottest catches in the city. READ FULL REVIEW

Towarowa Wodna

Wodna 12

Towarowa’s always been about reliable breakfasts, but the new Wodna location puts them right in the thick of Old Town. Think Berlin vibes inside, but the menu is all about the French touch. Their Croque Grand Classic is the stuff of legends—gooey, golden, and the kind of sandwich that makes you forget your name. Plus, this spot doesn’t tap out after breakfast. Evenings are all about plates and wine, so you can keep the vibe rolling until late. Closed Monday to Wednesday.

Łyk

Garbary 58

Word on the street is hot with this one. ŁYK pulls double shifts: start your day with a legit breakfast and swing back later for wine, mocktails, and plates built to share. We haven’t sat down for a full review yet, but from what we’ve heard, it’s the kind of place you’ll wanna start and end your day at. Breakfast ’til midnight? Not mad at it.

SUNDAY

Poznańska 1/35

Parents of Poznań, your prayers have been answered. Sunday is the breakfast spot that finally lets you eat in peace. Yes, peace. Why? Because there’s a full-on kids’ play area inside—slides, toys, the works—while you sip coffee and work your way through their breakfast menu. Smart interior design, strong coffee, and actual quiet time for grown-ups? This place is basically therapy disguised as a café. Small fee for the playroom, but totally worth it for the sanity.

Lekko 2.0

Kanałowa 15

If flowers and coffee had a love child, this would be it. Light 2.0 is part café, part floral studio, part vibe. Picture sipping a latte sprinkled with edible petals, then picking out a bouquet on your way out. The space itself feels like an art project—beautiful, curated, made for slow mornings. Breakfast, coffee, blooms—it’s all wrapped up here.

Leuca

Ratajczaka 20

And last but never least, Leuca. This tiny Italian café doesn’t just serve food—it teleports you straight to Puglia. Their specialty, pasticciotti, are little sweet pastries with serious heritage, and if you’re more in the mood for savory, the rustico will keep you busy. We reviewed it recently and walked out smitten. If you’re craving Italian vibes without hopping a flight, Leuca’s the cheat code. READ FULL REVIEW

More to come…
That’s the current roll call, but trust us, the list is only getting longer. Poznań’s food scene is in a serious glow-up phase, and we’re here for all of it. Stay tuned—your stomach’s about to get very, very busy.
