A routine evening at the Hebe store inside Kupiec Poznański turned into a high-tension chase after a security guard confronted two suspected thieves — and it was all caught on video.

In footage obtained exclusively by us, the guard is seen physically struggling with a woman near the exit while directing pepper spray toward the man, who attempts to intervene and pull her away. The spray appears aimed at keeping the man at distance as tensions spike and bystanders back off.

Despite the security guard’s best efforts, the woman manages to break free. The guard gives chase — but in a split second that changes everything, he loses his footing and falls hard, appearing to injure himself in the process.

The silver lining? The suspects drop the perfumes during the chaos, leaving the stolen goods behind as they flee.

Witnesses describe a scene of confusion and shock, with the sharp scent of pepper spray lingering in the air long after the confrontation ended.

No official statement has yet been released regarding the condition of the guard or whether the suspects were later identified.

One thing is clear from the video: the security officer didn’t hesitate. In a job that’s often underpaid and overlooked, he stepped in without backup — and paid the price physically while protecting the store’s property.
