Three Kids Dead in Poland – Poznań on High Alert

Listen up, Poznań. This isn’t just another scary story—it’s real, and it’s hit way too close to home. Three kids are dead in just one week, victims of rat poison fumes. It’s a silent killer lurking in places meant to keep families safe, not destroy them.

What Went Down

In just a week, three young lives were lost:

  • November 6: 3-year-old Basia from Poznan died after fumes from rodent poison hidden in her family’s walls poisoned her. Her mom and sister were hospitalized.
  • November 9: A 2-year-old boy in Tomaszów Lubelski passed away, and his family was rushed to the hospital.
  • November 13: A 2.5-year-old boy in Olsztyn became the third victim in this deadly string.

The Invisible Killer

Toxicologist Dr. Eryk Matuszkiewicz explains it’s not just poison for rodents—it’s phosphine gas, a lethal toxin released when aluminum phosphide mixes with moisture and air.

  • Why it’s so deadly: This gas spreads through your body in minutes. Death can strike in 12 hours or less.
  • Why kids? Smaller bodies mean even tiny doses can be fatal.

Misuse = Disaster

Every one of these tragedies ties back to careless use of poison. People don’t realize how dangerous this stuff is—or they ignore the warnings.

Protect Your Family

This can’t happen again. We need stricter rules, better awareness, and smarter use of these deadly chemicals. If you have rodent poison at home, treat it like the danger it is.

Three kids are gone, but we can stop this from happening to another family. Stay safe, Poznań—our kids deserve better. 💔
