Yo Poznan!
At Poznań Daily, we’re always sniffing around for the next bite that’s gonna blow our taste buds out of orbit. Having hit up some of the city’s top foodie joints, we figured it was time to flip the table (gently of course — we’re not animals) and explore further afield.
Now listen, “further afield” in Poznań means what, like 15–20 minutes from the center? Yeah, we’re not packing a lunch for the journey. But still, we took a little detour and strolled around os. Rusa, just behind Malta Lake. No maps, no plan — just hungry instincts and blind faith. And would you believe it… jackpot.

We spotted a cozy little spot and decided to take the plunge. Always the brave ones, right? We ordered, sat down, and waited to see what would land on our plates.
But first — a little backstory. We chatted with owner Tomasz (because we’re nosy like that), and it turns out this guy has been around the culinary block. He’s worked in some of Poznań’s top kitchens, soaking up experience, learning from the big-name chefs. Then one day — boom — he decided to go solo.

Enter Ponte di Sapori
Opened a couple years back. And the location? Osiedle Rusa — not the trendiest, but that’s kind of the charm. It’s his home turf. He grew up just around the corner, and this whole thing is as much about sentiment as it is sauce. We love that.

Of course, with that kind of background, our expectations went through the roof. No pressure, chef… hahaha.
We went all in and ordered three dishes…
Bruschetta e Pomodori
Classic, fresh, juicy. The starter you want when you want to start things right. Not-so-crunchy bread meets marinated tomatoes, garlic, and basil. Simple but no joke. No bruschetta here though, instead a homemade pizza style but thicker bread. Probably a trick he picked up while working in Poznań’s top kitchens! We loved it

Pizza Prosciutto — 33 zł
Sos pomidorowy, mozzarella fior di latte, Parma ham, oregano.
Flavor notes? The fior di latte was rich and stretchy, the tomato base perfectly tangy, and the Parma ham gave it that soft, salty kick. Honestly? If you served this downtown, you’d be paying 45 zł minimum. And it’s just 15 minutes away. Absolute steal.

Pappardelle al Ragù — 36 zł
Now listen up. If you’ve never had this, let us break it down:
Wide flat pasta ribbons drenched in slow-cooked beef ragù with veggies, tomatoes, and wine.

We’re trying not to exaggerate but… this dish rocked us. Deep, rich, warming — the kind of sauce that feels like a long hug from an Italian nonna.

Dear readers, please: make this the next thing you eat. We’re borderline begging here. If you don’t like it, we’ll eat our keyboards.

Wrapping up!
As if that wasn’t enough, the place has a large garden terrace out front. And it’s not like the ones downtown where you’re inhaling tram fumes and eavesdropping on five tables at once. Nope — we’re talking crickets chirping and birds singing type peaceful. It’s like a mini staycation with carbs.

So yeah, get out of the city buzz for a sec. Go explore the quiet side. Grab that ragù and sit in the sun. You’ll thank us later.
