REVIEW: Wine, Waffles, and Good Vibes: Fajrant on Żydowska Street

The Promise

Located on the vibey Żydowska Street, Fajrant is the latest spot to blow up your Insta feed—and for good reason. We hit this place on a chill summer evening, drawn by the promise of an offbeat combo: wine and waffles. Yeah, you heard that right.

The menu here is tight but delivers. Think snacks, toasts, pastries, and the real headliner—waffles. But forget everything you know about waffles. Fajrant’s savory versions will make you rethink everything, especially in a city like Poznań.

The Vibe

Step inside, and you’re hit with cozy, romantic vibes that are anything but basic. The interior nails that sweet spot between minimalist and welcoming, but it’s the secret garden out back where the magic happens. The place was buzzing—groups of friends kicking back, sipping wine and cocktails, and just soaking up the good times.

The Chow

We started with the mozzarella toast, stacked with sun-dried tomatoes and a hit of Hungarian ajvar—simple, but totally satisfying. Then came the burrata waffles with pesto, which were all kinds of creamy and delicious. The sunny-side-up waffles with halloumi and guac? Pure savory bliss. As much as we wanted to dive into the Nutella and whipped cream waffles, we decided to save those for a day when we’re craving a nostalgia trip to our childhood summers.

Comfort Game Strong

Fajrant’s menu isn’t about pushing culinary boundaries, but it’s got comfort on lock. It’s the kind of place where anyone can find something to love, whether you’re popping in for breakfast or lunch. But if you really want to catch Fajrant in its prime, swing by after dark when the wine list really pops off.

The Liquid

Speaking of wine, Fajrant’s selection is where it’s at. We were vibing hard with the Californian Chardonnay, which hits with buttery-vanilla-almond notes and a lychee twist—basically, it’s like biting into a fancy Parisian macaron. If you’re in the mood for something more refreshing, the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is a solid pick with its fruity blackcurrant and passion fruit flavors.

Here’s the move: Start your day with a loaded waffle, and then circle back in the evening with your crew or a hot date. Let the wine flow and soak in the chill, romantic vibes of this hidden gem on Żydowska Street.

The Lowdown

Now, keeping it real—no spot’s flawless. Fajrant’s wine game is strong, but the kitchen’s small, so the food options are a bit limited. This isnt supposed to be a full blown restaurant. We see mad potential though. Imagine Fajrant flipping into a wine with classic tapas joint by night. It’s still early days, so maybe that’s in the cards. Infact. we have heard that they are going to expand the menu and also add some breakfast options this week so we cant wait to go back! But for now, if you haven’t hit up Fajrant yet, what are you even doing? Get on it.
