Review: Our favorite new Poznan Pizza spot!

Poznan Daily recently visited the newly opened Miskuzi on Ratajczaka 34, eager to see if the buzz about their pizzas being some of the best in town was legit. Spoiler alert: it absolutely is.

Miskuzi is where hip meets classy, making it a must-visit in Poznan. The interior exudes style, with a front garden that twinkles at night, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a chill hangout. If you’re in the mood for something more romantic, head to the back garden—it’s intimate and dreamy, ideal for a date night under the stars. The inside inside bad either!

The Game Changer

We kicked things off with the much-talked-about Dobra jak u Mami pizza, priced at 45 PLN. Topped with San Marzano tomatoes, smoked Scamorza cheese, Gorgonzola, and Grana Padano, this pizza is pure bliss. The tomatoes bring a sweet and tangy burst, the Scamorza adds a smoky depth, Gorgonzola gives a rich, creamy texture, and the Grana Padano finishes it off with a sharp bite. Trust us, this pizza is a game-changer and one of the best you’ll find in Poznan.

One cool thing about Miskuzi is that they’re one of the few places that don’t cut your pizza for you. Instead, they hand you a pair of scissors so you can slice it exactly how you like. It’s a quirky touch that adds to the fun of dining here.

El Mariachi

But why stop at just one? We also tried the Mariachi pizza, also for 45 PLN. This one is topped with San Marzano tomatoes, roasted corn paste, marinated avocado, and chili peppers. It’s a flavor party in your mouth—the sweet corn paste pairs beautifully with the tangy avocado, and the chili peppers add just the right amount of heat. If you like your pizza with a bit of a kick, Mariachi is your go-to.

The Bloody Collins

To quench our thirst, we opted for their Bloody Collins cocktail, featuring Italian gin, a blend of orange and peach, lemon, and carbonated water. It’s refreshingly zesty with a hint of sweetness, making it the ultimate summer sip.

We wanted to try the mussels too, but they were sold out—no surprise given how fresh everything is at Miskuzi. They don’t stockpile; when they’re out, they’re out. It’s a bummer, but we appreciate the commitment to freshness. Just make sure to get there earlier if you’re craving mussels. Of course, we couldn’t leave without sampling their wine. We chose the dry white Trebbiano, which was crisp and light with subtle citrus and apple notes. It paired perfectly with the pizzas.

Something to start

For a starter, the cheese and meat board is a great pick, especially when paired with wine. It’s ideal for sharing and sets the tone for the rest of the meal.

The surprise ending

We couldn’t resist trying Magda’s unique twist on the classic Italian cannolo, served with pistachios. The filling is creamy and nutty, with the crushed pastry shell adding a satisfying crunch. If you’re into cannoli’s, this one’s a must-try—you won’t recognize it, but you’ll love it.

Keeping it real

Now, if we had to nitpick, there was a tiny hiccup in our otherwise flawless experience. We ordered water, but it didn’t make it to our table until we gave a gentle reminder. It was a small inconvenience that was quickly corrected and definitely wouldn’t keep us from coming back. We’re already eyeing the next pizza on the menu, but it’s going to be tough because these were so good!

Where’s my water?

The Finale

Miskuzi is everything we hoped for—a perfect mix of great food, a cool atmosphere, and a genuine dedication to quality. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado, a wine enthusiast, or just on the hunt for a new spot to try, Miskuzi should be at the top of your list. So go ahead, support this fantastic new restaurant and the passionate small business owners who keep Poznan’s high streets buzzing with life.
