Probably the worst restaurant in Poznan!

The reviews are wild

Let’s be honest. Every city has that place.
The one that somehow survives… despite the internet absolutely cooking it in the reviews.

In Poznań, one name keeps coming up: Pekin on 23 Lutego in the Old Town.

So instead of pretending we had some deep, personal dining experience (no thanks)… we did something better:

We went through the reviews.
A lot of them.

And what we found?
Yeah… it’s messy.

The Ratings Tell a Story (And It’s Not a Great One)

On paper, it doesn’t look that bad:

Around 4.1 on Google

But only 3.0 on TripAdvisor

That gap alone is already suspicious.
Because in Poland, anything near 3.0 is basically a red flag.

The Reviews? No Filter. No Mercy.

We’re not exaggerating — these are real quotes:

“Avoid like the plague.”

“Terrible, greasy, not fresh food.”

“We ate here the other day and had several shrimp dishes, dumplings, a noodle dish, which turned out to be spaghetti and a chicken dish with rice. The lot was dire. The shrimps had that old, fishy smell, which they tried to hide with salt. It came to $65 and was a total waste of money. It was vomit on a plate.”

“Nothing to do with Asian food.”

And it doesn’t stop there.

Food Complaints: A Pattern, Not a One-Off

Across multiple platforms, the same issues keep popping up:

Food described as “ready-made” or “microwave-like”

Reports of cold dishes and bland flavours

Claims of undercooked rice and “inedible” meals

One review literally calls it:

“the worst food I have eaten anywhere”

Client photos

Service? Also Under Fire

It’s not just the food.

Reviewers mention:

Rude or inattentive staff

Long waits… or no service at all

Reservation issues and confusion

One user said they waited and left without being acknowledged

And Then There’s… This

Some reviews go way further:

“We couldn’t eat what we ordered”

“Food was cold… we were afraid to eat it”

“Everything tasted horrible… we feared it would make us sick”

Now — to be fair — these are individual opinions.
But when dozens and dozens and dozens of reviews echo the same themes?

That’s not just bad luck.

So… Is This the Worst Restaurant in Poznań?

We’re not saying exactly that.

But based on what’s out there?

Stuck in a time warp from 25 years ago! It’s definitely the most heavily criticised spot in the city, and no, we won’t be reviewing it any time soon!
