Probably the best place for pizza in the summer
We kept hearing about it. Seeing it. Saving it.
And now — we finally went.
Medusa sits right inside Park Wilsona, which already puts it ahead of 90% of places in the city once the sun shows up. And with summer basically around the corner, this is exactly where you want to be.
Upstairs terrace. Big. Open. Overlooking the park.
Downstairs terrace? Even bigger. Green everywhere. People lingering longer than they planned.
Honestly — location alone? 90% winner already.
So yeah… all that was left was the pizza.

Not Neapolitan. And That’s The Point.
Let’s get this out of the way, this is not Neapolitan pizza.
And in Poznań, that’s almost controversial. The city is deep into the soft, puffy, slightly-too-perfect Instagram pizza era.
But sometimes? You don’t want that.
Sometimes you want something a bit more American-style. Slightly crispier. Less precious. More “let’s actually eat.”

The Menu Hits Both Sides
They’ve got all the classics if you want to play it safe:
- Margherita (clean, simple, always works)
- Parma Rucola (prosciutto + greens = no-brainer)
- Salami Piccante Gorgonzola (spicy + creamy combo done right)
- Quattro Formaggi (heavy, but worth it)
But where it gets interesting is when they stop playing safe:
- Pistacchio e Mortadella — rich, nutty, slightly ridiculous in a good way
- Medusa — seafood chaos (mussels, shrimp, octopus… yeah, they went there)
- Barbabietola — beetroot + goat cheese + honey = surprisingly elite
- Dolce Pera — sweet, salty, soft… borderline dessert pizza but works
This is not a boring menu.
They also do a great carpaccio, and yeah, don’t skip it. Thin slices, clean, simple, no overthinking. The kind of starter you order “just to try” and then suddenly it’s gone in two minutes. Light, fresh, slightly salty — perfect before diving into the heavier pizzas. Honestly, it sets the tone right.

And Then There’s The Beer
We grabbed a mango IPA (we will save the cocktails for the summer visit), which if you haven’t had one before, is basically a classic hoppy IPA but with a tropical twist.
So you still get that bitterness, but it’s cut with mango sweetness.
Result? Way more drinkable. Way more summer.
Perfect match for sitting outside pretending you don’t have anything to do.

So… Is It Actually Good?
Short answer: yeah.
Longer answer:
If you’re completely obsessed with Neapolitan pizza, you might hesitate.
But if you’re not brainwashed by the dough hype — this hits. It’s solid, flavorful, and actually satisfying without trying too hard.
And combined with that location?
This is easily one of the best summer spots in Poznań.

Final Take
Pizza? Great — especially if you want something different.
Vibe? Even better.
Location? Probably one of the best in the city once it’s warm.
Medusa isn’t trying to be the trendiest pizza in Poznań.
It’s just trying to be the place you end up staying way longer than planned.
And it kind of wins because of that.
