Yo Poznan
You’ve seen us dive into underground fight clubs, beard temples with beard oil stronger than your ex’s opinions, and candlelit yoga studios that smell like sandalwood and self-reflection. But this time? You asked—we answered.
We went on a mission to find Poznań’s holy grail of gluten-free. Not the “oh yeah we have a salad” type of spot. We mean truly, strictly, celia-friendly, cross-contamination-don’t-even-try-me kind of gluten-free.
And guess what? It’s damn hard to find.
Wait—Why So Few?
Turns out, if you’re going to offer real gluten-free food, you need two entirely separate kitchens—one for the muggles and one for the gluten-intolerant chosen ones. Or, you go all in, 100% gluten-free, no wheat crumbs allowed.
So yeah, it’s commitment. It’s risk. It’s a bureaucratic nightmare. Which is why we were shocked to find there are only 2 or 3 real-deal spots in the entire city.
But then we found it—Gluten Free in Grunwald. And things got real.

Enter Marta: Gluten-Free Queen of Grunwald
We hit up the boss herself—Marta, founder, owner, chef, and low-key local superhero—and asked how this spot even came to exist. Her answer? Pain. Love. And one hell of a plot twist.
“The restaurant came from suffering—my son Mateusz has celiac disease and a ton of allergies. Even rice and corn are off-limits, which basically wipes out most options for people like him. I had no plans to open a restaurant… I was broke, buried in bureaucracy, and just trying to survive. But somehow the universe pushed me in this direction.”
This wasn’t some Pinterest dream or TikTok trend. This was a mama on a mission.

She dove deep—studying dietetics just to help her son survive. And when life handed her gluten-free lemons, she opened a kitchen with zero shortcuts, zero pre-made mixes, and 100% dedication.
Now? She’s cooking for people with all kinds of digestive conditions, creating personalized dishes and running gluten-free baking workshops like a boss.

So What’s on the Menu?
We’re heading back to Gluten Free soon to pick our favorites (you’ll get the full breakdown, don’t worry). But here’s a little taste:
- De Volaille – crispy, golden, and available dairy-free too
- Gluten-free burgers & kebabs – big flavor, zero regret
- Their Schabowy (pork cutlet) – covered in a next-level, ultra-crunchy GF coating
- Cakes that hit harder than your grandma’s slap – almond cake, chocolate bombs, cheesecakes (dairy-free included), all made from scratch, no weird mixes or mystery powders
Her guests say: “Wait… these taste better than the gluten ones.” We believe them.

Wait—Is Gluten-Free Just for Sick People?
Not at all.
Even if you’re not living with celiac or serious allergies, going gluten-free occasionally can reduce bloating, boost energy, and give your gut a break. It’s like a spa day for your stomach. Plus, at Marta’s place, it’s not about restriction—it’s about flavor and care.

Marta says:
“Everyone in life gets a star. You either pick it up… or walk past it. I picked up mine.”
Respect.
