Lets All Do The Poznan With Lech Poznan Chef Artur Dzierzbicki

Hey Poznan Expats!

If you’re looking for Poznań’s best sports bar, stop Googling—it’s inside the Lech Poznań stadium itself. Yes, where legends are made on the pitch. We teamed up with Artur, the chef who cooks for Lech Poznań players and co-owns MasterLech Sports Bar.

It’s the matchday go-to for fast, proper food, ice-cold beers, and non-stop football. From Ekstraklasa to La Liga, Premier League to the Champions League—if it’s on, it’s on here. This isn’t just a bar. It’s football culture, served hot.

The Interview

MasterLech doesn’t just shine locally — European clubs notice the difference. “A chef at Atlético Madrid once asked if we were PSG. They had chicken and potatoes. We had steak and salmon. They had five options. We had 14. I’m proud of that,” Artur recalls.

Fans love seeing matches surrounded by fellow supporters, but the players’ meals remain top-secret. “Everything is portioned, balanced, and fresh — no compromises,” he says. Favorite players past and present? “Łukasz Trałka, Szymon Pawłowski, Karol Linetty… now it’s Captain Mikael Ishak.”

Looking forward, the new Jeżyce branch opening in Spring 2026 will offer fans a sit-down experience: seafood, tapas, steak, and more. “We want people to enjoy food slowly, taste everything, and soak in the football vibe,” Artur says.

MasterLech proves football food has layers: private, tailored cuisine for players; fast, energetic matchday food for fans; and soon, premium sit-down meals for those craving a relaxed vibe. “Whether it’s a last-minute goal or a perfectly cooked burger, the energy here is unmatched,” Artur concludes.

Cooking for Lech Poznań’s first team isn’t just a side gig — it’s Artur Dzierzbicki’s full-time passion. “Long story short — Lech were staying at a hotel where I cooked. They liked the food… a lot. On the next away match, they invited me along. It never stopped after that,” he laughs.

With 30 years of culinary experience, mostly in 5-star kitchens, Artur eventually pitched MasterLech Sports Bar to Lech’s owner. Green light came in 2023, and the bar opened in July

The players food

But make no mistake — the food Artur prepares for the players is exclusive. “Seafood, fish, steak — these are the players’ favorites. Everything is fresh, balanced, and cooked exactly to their needs. We work with the nutrition team. No shortcuts,” he says. Cheat meals? No way. The players are professionals. They stick to the plan.”

Fans, meanwhile, get a completely different experience: fast, high-quality matchday food. Burgers, pizza, and quick bites keep the energy up for 21 TVs and four giant telebeams. “Fans want speed and flavor. That’s what we give them,” Artur explains.

“Golden rule in the kitchen: only fresh, natural products. No excuses,” he adds. Artur’s dual approach — pro-level meals for players, fast-feel food for fans — is what makes MasterLech unique.

On matchdays, MasterLech is chaos in the best way. “We can handle 300 seats, but up to 3,000 fans move through. It’s madness — but the good kind,” says Artur.

While the menu for the players rotates every week, keeping their meals fresh and tailored to their nutritional needs, fans enjoy a more fixed offering. “We like to surprise people — it keeps the vibe fresh,” Artur explains. High energy, high flavor, and no compromises: “Even fast food deserves respect. Ingredients matter. Taste matters. Football matters.”

Fans enjoy every league imaginable: Ekstraklasa, Premier League, La Liga, Champions League — sometimes four matches on different screens at once. “You feel the tension, the excitement. The bar matches the stadium vibe,” Artur says.

Artur also keeps a proud eye on his team. “I could sit on the bench if I wanted,” he admits, smiling, “but it’s about feeding the team properly.” His philosophy is simple: quality, precision, and passion in the kitchen.

Whether it’s players’ nutrition or fans’ fast bites, Artur ensures everything runs perfectly. “If the players aren’t happy, I’m not happy. Same goes for the fans — it’s all about passion,” he adds.
