Hot Tip: There is a rumour going around that this is the best Ice Cream in Poznan PART1

In Grunwald, nestled within a housing estate on Marcelinska 100/201 Street, lies a coffee shop we recently discovered called Verde. Launched in April 2024, this charming spot is a complementary project to the owner’s language school, also in the area. With extensive experience, Witek has worked around the world in the USA, England, and Norway and has been nurturing this idea for quite some time. However, it wasn’t until the previous venue’s owner, known for his ice cream in the neighborhood, decided to close his place that Witek seized the opportunity to start Verde.

Basing much of Verde’s foundation on the ice cream tradition of the previous establishment, Słodki Marcelin, Witek is now expanding it to realize its full potential. Though they are still developing Verde and its menu, the ice cream is already making waves.

Verde uses a state-of-the-art ice cream machine that is rarely found in ice cream shops. This machine doesn’t just freeze and display; it constantly mixes and aerates the ice cream, resulting in a uniquely creamy consistency. Combined with high-quality Italian ingredients, Verde’s ice cream could easily compete for the best in the city. As the owner confidently states, “I would take a bet any day, any time.”

When it comes to coffee, Verde relies on a 100% Arabica blend supplied by Tom Caffe. This exceptional blend, the Public Choice Winner at this year’s Coffee Fair in Warsaw, competed against many other coffee roasting plants. Since it’s not something you can find in regular markets, many customers visit Verde specifically to enjoy a cup. We especially look the like of their Pistachio Latte!

If you’re in the area, pop in to try their hard-to-find coffee and ice cream, and let us know what you think. We’ll be there shortly to review the ice cream ourselves, so watch this space! We have even added a map below so there is no excuses!
