Yo Poznan!
We’re still sailing full speed ahead with our Best Dentists in Town series. Two ports of call down, and now it’s time for our third docking. Of course, we wanted something a little different this time – because same-old, same-old is just… well… yawn. And as you know, we’d rather floss with barbed wire than bore you.
So, we sent our writer-detectives back onto the mean streets of Poznań, on the lookout for a ninja dentist with a twist.
And guess what? We found one.
But what’s the twist? Oh, nothing major… he just happens to be Mexican, potentially the first foreign dentist in town, and can give you that Hollywood smile while switching between Polish, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian like it’s a dental version of Eurovision.
Gerardo
Say hola to Gerardo Hernández Tecanhuey. Even the name sounds like it should come with its own mariachi band and a bottle of tequila. We like it already.

The Man Behind the Mask (and the Drill)
Gerardo is no novelty act – the guy’s the real deal. He graduated in dentistry from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico, and in dental medicine (Medicina Dentária) from the Fernando Pessoa University in Porto, Portugal.
He’s a member of the Polish Implantology Association, completed their postgraduate implantology curriculum, and even holds an Advanced Education in Oral Implantology certificate from New York University College of Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Translation? He’s the guy you want if you’re missing teeth, dealing with a rogue wisdom tooth, or just tired of looking like you chew gravel for breakfast.
Special Powers (AKA Dental Skills)
His main weapons of choice:
- Surgery – precision work with the finesse of a sushi chef.
- Implantology – turning gaps into glamour.
- Implant Prosthetics – making new teeth look like they’ve been there forever.
He also takes on:
- Cavities that think they can hide.
- Toothaches that show up at 2am.
- Hypersensitive teeth (you know, the ones that scream when you eat ice cream).
- Stubborn tartar build-up.
- Tooth discoloration – bye-bye tea stains.

Battle Plan & Prices
So what’s the damage? Surprisingly reasonable for a ninja with an international CV.
- Dental consultation – 100 PLN
- Wisdom tooth extraction – from 450 PLN
- Dental checkup – 100 PLN
- Removal of a single-root tooth – 300 PLN
- Removal of a permanent tooth – from 300 PLN
- Cyst removal – 300 PLN
That’s cheaper than a weekend trip to the coast… and with far less sand stuck in awkward places.
Final Word from the Chair
We only had 30 seconds to chat with Gerardo between patients, but in that short time he managed to charm us, teach us the Spanish word for “tooth,” and somehow convince us that dental surgery could be… fun? (Okay, maybe fun is a stretch – but painless at least.)

If you want to check him out, you can go full reconnaissance mode via his Znany Lekarz profile or snoop around his Facebook page.
Trust us – if you’ve been putting off that dental appointment, this is the guy who might just make you look forward to sitting in the chair. And if not, at least you’ll leave speaking five new words in five languages. That’s gotta count for something.
