Doctor Told Her to Stop Singing Forever — She Proved Him Wrong

Yo Poznan

At Poznan Daily, we’re always hunting for the real ones — the artists, creators, and teachers who bring something different to the table. Lately, you’ve been hitting us up left, right, and centre for vocal coach recommendations, so we took it personally. We’ve already met a few vocal legends-in-the-making, but this time… we’ve raised the bar. Or should we say, raised the bard?

Meet Paulina

Meet Paulina Kordylas, the vocal powerhouse behind Studio NA DWA, tucked away like a hidden gem just off Poznańska 40a/2 street in Jeżyce. You won’t stumble into this spot by accident — it’s one of those cool little back-courtyard secrets you find only when you’re really ready to level up your voice.

We reached out to Paulina for a quick chat (because you know we had questions), and she hit us with a story that could be a movie script. From being told by a doctor at 18 that she might never sing again… to training under Europe’s finest and coming back stronger — Paulina flipped the script and built a vocal studio that’s just as much about heart as it is about technique. And we’ve already locked in a date to experience one of her sessions firsthand, so you know we’ll be back with more.

The Lowdown

Paulina’s got almost a decade of experience teaching all kinds of vocalists — from shower-singers to stage beasts. She’s not just about scales and sheet music. Her approach is holistic: blending vocal technique, mental wellness, and even spiritual self-expression. Think of it as a full-body tune-up for your voice.

Her creds are real too

  • The only certified Vocal Health Education practitioner in Poland 💥
  • Training with the elite Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen
  • Certified in Counselling for Singing Teachers
  • Studied under Stephen King (not the horror writer, but a top-tier vocal therapist in London)

Add to that her personal experience as a rock and grunge vocalist, pianist, and songwriter, and you’ve got someone who gets the emotional highs, lows, and raw guts of performance. She’s also currently working on her own material – so stay tuned!

Who’s this for?

If you:

Wanna fix your voice after too many karaoke nights

Have dreams of touring or studio time

Need help with vocal strain, tension, or breathing

Just wanna feel something when you sing…

…Paulina’s studio is where you want to be.

She teaches in English and Polish, offers private and group classes, and even runs vocal massage therapy sessions (yes, your voice has muscles too). There’s even live concert opportunities for students to hit the stage with real musicians.

Our 3 Picks

1. 60-Minute Private Vocal Session – €50
Dive deep into your sound, work on a song of your choice, and walk out feeling like a main character.

2. 4-Class Group Pass – €50/month
Meet other singers, vibe together, and grow as a unit. (Low-key great for confidence building too.)

3. Vocal Massage/Voice Therapy – ask for availability
Perfect if you’re battling hoarseness, jaw tension, reflux or just need a full voice-body reset. Very pro.

Final Note (pun intended)

This is someone who’s lived the ups and downs, and turned them into a mission to help others reclaim their voice — emotionally, physically, and artistically.

So whether you’re chasing your music dreams, building up the courage to hit open mics, or just wanna sound less pitchy in the shower, check out Studio NA DWA and Paulina Kordylas. We’ll be back with a full lesson review soon, so stay tuned.
