Discover Poznań’s Most Romantic Balcony at La Bottega

La Bottega, now at Krysiewicza 5/1. In case you don’t know it, it’s stone’s throw from Polwiejska Street. Owners Agnieszka and Alberto, who met by chance in Warsaw in 2018, seized the opportunity to take over La Bottega and relocate it to this vibrant street, known for its array of great restaurants like Muga and YetzTu, making it a magnet for serious foodies.

The first-floor balcony overlooking Poznań offers arguably the most romantic spot in the city, especially during sunset. This coveted table requires a reservation three weeks in advance. We were lucky enough to visit before opening hours and enjoy a chat with Agnieszka and Alberto while sampling some of their standout dishes.

Our top three recommendations highlight La Bottega’s focus, particularly seafood. The Stringozzi allo Scoglio is a standout, featuring perfectly al dente pasta imported from the Umbria region, which is thicker and more substantial, making each portion feel like a hearty meal. The dish is generously laden with mussels, adding a rich, savory depth that pairs wonderfully with the pasta.

The Stringozzi al Limone con Gamberi e Bottarga is a refreshing and tangy delight. The lemon-infused stringozzi pasta, combined with succulent shrimp and the umami punch of bottarga, creates a harmonious balance of flavors that dance on the palate. This dish is a perfect example of how La Bottega elevates simple ingredients into gourmet experiences.

Last but not least was their Gamberoni all’Arancia and offers a delightful contrast of sweet and savory. The prawns, bathed in a subtle orange sauce, present a nuanced citrus flavor that enhances the natural sweetness of the seafood. This dish is both elegant and comforting, showcasing Agnieska’s skill in balancing bold flavors with delicate touches.

To complement our meal, we enjoyed a cold prosecco and a non-alcoholic Limoncello-ade. The prosecco’s crispness and the Limoncello-ade’s refreshing zest perfectly matched the seafood dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.

While the wait times might be longer than usual due to everything being made to order, this dedication to freshness and quality is well worth it. True to Italian style, the “piano piano” approach ensures that each dish is prepared with care and precision.

For dessert, we indulged in Alberto’s specialties. The Pistachio Semifreddo was a revelation—lighter than ice cream, it melted on the tongue, offering a creamy, nutty flavor that was both rich and ethereal.

The Tiramisú, delicately light on alcohol, was a masterclass in balance, with rich coffee notes and a velvety cream that made it a perfect end to the meal.

Agnieszka and Alberto, who spend their days off exploring other restaurants, have truly created one of the best dining spots in Poznań. If you can’t wait for the balcony table, other tables by the open windows on the first floor offer a charming alternative. We highly recommend giving La Bottega a try for an unforgettable Italian dining experience. Here’s the number 694 020 111
