Yo Poznań! Egypt’s Street Food just got even better.

the lowdown

Alright, so if you know us, you know we’ve been lowkey addicted to the shawarmas at Egypt ever since they popped up on the scene not too long ago. We’ve been there more times than we can count, and honestly, their shawarma is straight-up the best in the city. But this time, we decided to switch it up and dive into something a little different—and spoiler alert: it did not disappoint.

The Kofta

First on the hit list? The Egyptian Kofta. Think tender, spiced-to-perfection kofta, grilled in a pan, with fresh veggies and tahini sauce doing all the heavy lifting. It’s that perfect mix of juicy, smoky, and creamy with the crunch of the veg for balance. And the best part? If you’re like me, dodging bread ’cause you’re on a diet kick, you can totally skip the bun and still enjoy the flavors like a boss. For 38 PLN (with a drink thrown in!), this one’s a no-brainer.

The Egyptian Sausage

But hold up, we didn’t stop there. Next up was their Egyptian Sausage—and fam, this one’s something special. Seasoned with a secret blend of Egyptian spices and loaded with fresh veggies, every bite had that bold, authentic street food flavor that makes you feel like you’re actually walking through Cairo. And for 26 PLN, it’s a solid option if you wanna ditch the bread but still want a serious flavor punch. No joke, we don’t know anyone else in Poznań doing it like this.

better than Egypt

Eslam (aka Yosry), the co-mastermind behind the joint, even told us these dishes might taste better than what you’d get back in Egypt—and we believe it. So yeah, next time you’re craving something fresh, fire, and authentically Egyptian, swing by Egypt on Półwiejska 6. They’re open late, 04:00 on weekends, so you’ve got plenty of time to grab some grub after a night out. Trust us—you’ll be hooked too.
