However, many have only received a fraction of that—1,000, 1,500, or 3,000 PLN at best. This discrepancy has left victims confused and frustrated, especially as they try to rebuild their lives.
The city hall, responsible for distributing these funds, now faces mounting pressure to explain the shortfall. Residents are left wondering if the distribution was based on income, permanent residence, or some other unclear criteria. The unequal distribution has even led to a bizarre situation where some recipients, feeling guilty for receiving more than others, have considered sharing their aid.
