The Lowdown
So we pulled up to Champions Bowling with one thing on our minds: the food. Yeah, we know it’s a bowling alley, but it’s not just about strikes and spares here. What caught our eye was their in-house restaurant, Buffalo House, serving up those all-American vibes with burgers and steaks that slap. With only a few true American-style diners in Poznan, we had to check out how Buffalo House stacks up against the best of the best—Billy’s in the market square. And let’s just say, it didn’t disappoint.
Walking into a restaurant with the sound of bowling pins crashing in the background hits different. It gave us that legit Americana feel right from the jump. And before we even sat down, we were already vibing with the place. The service was on point from the start. We threw down our order and, since it was early afternoon, it wasn’t too busy yet, so things came out fast. Another box ticked!
The burger
First up, we had to try the burger. There are just two options—meat or veggie. Easy choice for us: the Grand Western Burger for only 39 zł. This beast came loaded with a 180g top-quality beef patty, grilled mushrooms, onion chutney, pickles, cheddar, onions, and their house-made mayo-BBQ sauce all stuffed into a buttery bun with a side of salad. Let me tell you, it’s a flavor explosion. The savory beef, tangy chutney, and creamy cheese come together perfectly. Each bite felt like a little American dream on a plate.
The Pizza
Then came the pizza. We went for their signature Buffalo Pizza (44 zł), topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, pulled beef, pepperoni, and burrata. The crust was a standout—puffy, light, and surprisingly edible, unlike those chewy, tough crusts you usually get. The pulled beef was tender, the burrata added creaminess, and the pepperoni gave it a slight spicy kick. If you’re a pizza lover, this one’s gonna win you over for sure.
The Steak
Now for the star of the show—the steak. We grabbed the 300g Ribeye for 69 zł. This cut is known for being a bit fattier, but man, that’s where the flavor hides. Juicy, rich, and tender, the ribeye came with a side of freshly cut fries, crispy and golden. If leaner cuts are your thing, you might want to splurge for their 550g Porterhouse Steak for 109 zł, but trust us, the ribeye hits just right.
The Shakes
What’s an American diner experience without a milkshake? We tried both options—the strawberry and the Oreo. The strawberry was the clear winner for me: thick, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The Oreo shake? Not bad, but it could’ve used some crunchy cookie bits for that authentic texture. Hopefully, they’ll catch the memo on that one.
The Verdict
Eating at Buffalo House is way more than just grabbing a quick bite at a bowling alley. This place isn’t your typical fast-food setup; it’s a legit restaurant in its own right. The food quality surprised us big time, easily holding its own against Billy’s American. Plus, the prices are lower, so it’s a win-win situation. If you’re looking to bowl and snack, they even have a separate bowling menu—perfect for a crowd. The VIP Box for 199 zł is stacked with tacos, mini burgers, kofta, chicken pops, mozzarella sticks, calamari, and more. Ideal for sharing with the crew.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line? Whether you’re here for strikes or steaks, Buffalo House at Champions Bowling is a solid spot. Head down with your mates, eat first, or fuel up after the game—either way, you’re in for a treat. We wrapped things up by hittin’ the lanes, and you already know—I wasn’t about to leave until I landed that strike! Had to go out on top, no question. 🎳🔥
