Psycho Ex Lights Up Apartment, Hurls Dog Off Balcony in Twisted Revenge

The Lowdown

It’s the kind of drama you think only happens in movies—but this went down for real in Poznań.

Late Saturday night, over on Blacharska Street in Zawady (next to Srodka roundabout) , things took a brutal turn when a 30-year-old man pulled one of the most cold-blooded revenge stunts we’ve seen in a minute. His ex-girlfriend had the nerve to move on with her life—so what did this guy do? He broke into her apartment, set the place on fire, and then—get this—threw her dog off the damn balcony.

Yeah. You read that right.

Witnesses say it all went down in the early hours between April 19 and 20. Flames lit up the third floor as neighbors called in the fire brigade. Nine people had to be evacuated from the building. Luckily, no one inside was hurt—and somehow, the dog survived the fall. A straight-up miracle.

But the man? He dipped.

Didn’t get far, though. Cops tracked him down quick and cuffed him. By Tuesday, April 22, he was sitting in front of a prosecutor, facing serious heat. He’s officially been charged with arson and making death threats toward his ex.

“The suspect admits to the arson,” said prosecutor Łukasz Wawrzyniak. “As for the threats, he claims he doesn’t remember.”

Convenient.

Now this guy’s looking at up to 10 years behind bars. No permanent address, no remorse, and clearly no control. The court’s moving to lock him up temporarily while the case moves forward.

This wasn’t just a breakup gone bad—this was rage, plain and ugly. The woman and her pet got out alive, but it’s gonna take a long time to rebuild from the damage, both physical and emotional.

Let this be a warning: some people don’t take “it’s over” lightly—but there’s no excuse for taking it this far.
