It’s the travel news we’ve been waiting for, folks! Starting December 15th, Poznań’s got a direct line to the heart of Prague thanks to PKP Intercity’s Baltic Express. Yup, now you can hop from the Baltic to the bohemian capital with zero hassle—and without breaking the bank. And check this out: December prices are already live, and it can actually be cheaper than heading to Warsaw!
Here’s the lowdown: trains will roll out from Poznań daily at 2:41, 7:31, 11:31, and 15:31. If you’re in Prague and ready to head back, trains depart at 6:51, 10:51, 14:50, and 18:51. In just under 6 hours, you’ll be cruising through stunning scenery, saving time and hassle compared to flights (which only run in summer) or those long-haul bus rides. FlixBus? It’s 8 hours. Plane? In summer only, and even then, add the airport grind.
Now for the price tag. Normally, a one-way, no-discount ticket hits around 300 PLN. But here’s the kicker: early-bird prices are out, starting at just 109 PLN for second class and 130 PLN for first. Promotions are about to drop that even lower—think below 100 PLN if you’re quick on the draw!
So, you know we’re all over this. December’s gonna be busy for us because we’ll be test-riding this new route and reporting back. We’ll let you know if the experience matches the hype—stay tuned!
