Kraszewskiego Street Businesses Back to Work, But Promises Unfulfilled – Someone should get fired!

Businesses on Kraszewskiego Street, after months of forced closure due to the tragic Jeżyce fire, are back—but where’s the promised support? The city swore they’d negotiate utility bill deferrals or even cancellations. They promised help with rents and Enea and Aquanet bills during the zero-zone lockdown when business owners couldn’t even access their properties.

But what happened? Nothing. Bills came in full, and the so-called “support” vanished once the media spotlight dimmed. It’s hard to understand why the city can’t make good on their small-scale promises. In the grand scope of their budget, this financial relief is nothing. So why are entrepreneurs like Jakub Tepper still paying out of pocket? No real action, no accountability. Someone needs to get fired for this failure.

These are livelihoods on the line, and the city’s failure to act—after talking a big game—has real consequences. If they can’t fix something this basic, who’s running the show? This isn’t just incompetence; it’s negligence. Someone should get fired!
