As the new school year kicks off in Poznań, most students are eager to hit the books. However, some seem to be focusing on more dangerous ventures. During the “Safe Road to School” initiative, officers patrolling school areas noticed two teenagers loitering around multiple schools, acting suspiciously. Upon investigation, the police discovered methamphetamine, commonly referred to as “crystal,” in their backpacks.
The officers initially spotted the teens moving between two schools within a short span of time. Their erratic behavior raised suspicion, particularly when they seemed agitated by the presence of the patrol car. Deciding to investigate further, the police searched the teens and found drugs stashed alongside school books.
The case has since been handed over to the family court due to the minors’ age. Both 15-year-olds have been charged with possession of psychotropic substances.
This incident highlights the broader concerns sweeping the city, as rumors circulate that schools are being targeted as hotspots for illegal activities. Sources suggest that some teenagers may be using the start of the school year to expand their drug-dealing operations, seeing schools as places to meet or trade. Although these are just rumors, the recent case has certainly added fuel to the fire.
Parents, educators, and local authorities are on high alert as they aim to keep the school environment safe. The police, already conducting heightened patrols at the start of the academic year, have vowed to increase their presence around educational institutions to deter further incidents.
As investigations unfold, the community watches closely, with hopes that the school year can continue without further disruption. Parents are urged to keep an eye on their children, and schools are tightening security to ensure a safe and focused academic environment.
