Another Scam Hits Poznań: The “Free First Aid Kit” Con 😡🚨

Fraudsters are back at it again, preying on unsuspecting people with another shady scam. This time, they’re pretending to be the National Health Fund (NFZ), dangling the promise of a “free” first aid kit in front of people’s inboxes. Sound too good to be true? That’s because it is.

Here’s How the Scam Goes Down

Victims receive emails claiming they’ve been handpicked to receive a so-called “Medicare Kit” – a fancy name for a fake first aid kit. The email even includes an image of the kit and the NFZ logo to make it look legit. The message hypes up the offer as if it’s a once-in-a-lifetime deal, practically screaming, “Don’t miss out!”

Click the link, and you’re sent to a website that’s almost identical to the official NFZ page. There, you’re asked to fill out a form with your personal details, shipping address, and, wait for it…your payment card information. Because, surprise, surprise, the “free” kit isn’t free after all – it costs a little over 8 PLN.

But here’s the kicker: the kit doesn’t exist. Instead, scammers use this trick to steal your money and personal data.

NFZ Fires Back

“This is a scam and an attempt to extort data and money,” warns Paweł Florek, director of the NFZ’s Office of Social Communication and Promotion.

The National Health Fund is urging everyone to stay vigilant and NOT click on any links in suspicious emails. If you see something that seems off, report it immediately.
