A double decker pizza!

Alright, fam, listen up—there’s a spot we’ve been sleeping on, and we’re here to spill the beans. Hidden just off 27 Grudnia, literally a stone’s throw from Plac Wolności, is a little neon-lit gem called Magic Pizza. It’s been vibing in this courtyard for three years, low-key serving some, so we have been told, seriously solid pies. The whole place feels like a secret you stumble upon by accident, with the neon glow and classic red-and-white checkered tablecloths giving it that old-school trattoria flair—just to remind you it’s the real deal.

We were lucky enough to catch up with the man behind the magic, Maxym, who broke down the origin story. Turns out, it all started back in 2016 in a tiny garage in Poznań. Maxym knew he was up against some heavy competition in the pizza delivery game, but he didn’t back down. It was pure hustle for that first year—grinding through tough times, pushing through the struggle.

By year two, though, things turned around. Magic Pizza was not only breaking even, but pulling in a solid profit. Now, three more locations later, Maxym’s killing it. You can find Magic Pizza holding it down in Piątkowo, Śródka, and Rataje, too. And word on the street is, Magic was the inspiration for a few recently opened pizzerias in the area. He’s even got some dope franchise offers for anyone tryna break into the pizza biz. But more on that later. Lets focus on the chow!

The pizza? It’s not that fancy, bougie Neapolitan style with the paper-thin bottom and puffed-up crust that you need a fork to eat. Nah, Magic’s doing it American-style—thin, but sturdy. This is the kind of pizza you can actually pick up and fold, no floppiness, no mess. The crust is the perfect balance between crunchy and chewy, holding up the toppings like a champ. You know that New York fold you see in movies? Yeah, Magic’s got it on lock.

We’re already planning a full-on taste test to give you the full breakdown of their menu, but if you can’t wait for that, trust us—go check it out for yourself. Whether you hit up the original spot on 27 Grudnia or one of the others across the city, it’s time to try something new. And now for what we promised. We dont want to say too much but they’ve got something you won’t find anywhere else in the city—a double-decker pizza. Yeah, you heard that right. Two layers of pizza goodness stacked up. We’re hyped to get in there and see what that’s all about! Don’t sleep on it—go grab a slice of that double decker and let us know what you think. (photos coming in the review article coming soon)
