A routine journey on Poznań tram line 4 took a frightening turn on Tuesday, 3 November, when a 50-year-old woman allegedly attacked a male passenger with a knife.
Police were called shortly after noon to Plac Cyryla Ratajskiego. Paramedics treated the injured man, while officers detained the woman and secured the tram.
Tram services disrupted
The incident brought tram traffic in both directions to a halt and forced temporary diversions. Investigators began interviewing witnesses and planned to examine onboard CCTV footage.
At the time of the initial report, police had not established a motive. One of the city’s most ordinary daily routines had suddenly become a crime scene.
