A disturbing case from Śrem, near Poznań, has ended with a final court ruling. Four men were convicted over the abduction and violent assault of a 16-year-old boy in spring 2025.
According to the court findings reported by Fakt, the attackers forced the teenager into a car, threatened his life and assaulted him near the Warta River. The attack followed an allegation involving the daughter of one of the men.
The sentences are now final
On 3 November 2026, the Court of Appeal in Poznań upheld the convictions. Mariusz Z. received seven years in prison; Michał L., six years and two months; Franciszek G., five years and six months. Jarosław J., who drove the vehicle, received 18 months for his role in the kidnapping.

The judges rejected challenges to the earlier ruling. What began as an alleged act of revenge became a brutal crime against a child — and now carries prison sentences.
