For around ten years, Julia’s hair was a canvas for self-expression — from mohawks at 15, to a shaved head at 18, to dreadlocks at 20, each style a tiny manifesto. Even at hairdressing school, teachers laughed and told her, “You won’t make money on creativity.” She just smiled: “You’ll see.”

Today, Julia runs YOZ, an alternative salon in the heart of Poznań, with a team of 11 artists. Every bold idea and experiment has its place here. Hair isn’t just styled; it becomes art, reflecting the client’s features, personality, and energy. Every cut, colour, and nail design is tailored to the individual.
Creativity is at the heart of YOZ, but so is confidence. Clients often arrive unsure, only to leave transformed. As Julia explains, “We never say ‘It can’t be done.’ Instead, it’s always: ‘Let’s make something special.’”
YOZ thrives on unconventional ideas and challenges. Many clients walk in saying, “Do whatever you think is best,” or “Other salons said no, so I came here.” Others want styles that truly suit their face or lifestyle. The team embraces it all.

As Julia puts it, “Every visit is a collaboration. We make sure it’s unique and reflects who they are.”
