City New Year’s Eve in Poznań: Is It Finally Coming Back? Do We Miss It or Nah?

Yo, remember when Poznań used to throw down epic New Year’s Eve parties in the city center? We’re talking fireworks, live performances, and the whole city buzzing until the early hours. But, if you haven’t noticed, it’s been a minute since we got to party like that. The last official City New Year’s Eve bash went down in 2019, and after that—thanks to COVID, skyrocketing costs, and energy hikes—the city hit pause.

But now? Rumor has it there’s a chance for the return of the City’s NYE party! The city’s officials are in talks with MTP Group, the crew behind big events like these, and they’re considering teaming up to bring the celebration back. According to Joanna Żabierek, the spokeswoman for the president of Poznań, the city isn’t planning to do this solo but is in negotiations to make it happen with MTP’s help. So, maybe, just maybe, we’ll get that classic New Year’s Eve street party again.

What do you think, though? Do we actually miss these parties? Were you one of the thousands that used to hit the streets to celebrate, or are you fine ringing in the new year at a house party or watching fireworks on TV? Let’s be real, the hype’s been gone for a while—do we want it back, or could we care less?

Drop a comment and let us know if you’re down for the City NYE comeback or if you’re over it.
